THE BEST FOOD.
By far the best CHINESE food ever created. Forget the dog food take out places. Sorry, no pun intended. They truly bring real chinese food to the menu. The squab wraps, filet mignon, velvet chicken, OMG. The food is insanely delicious,. Please do not listen to any bad reviews. Try this place for yourself, you will be happy you did. They have thee best shrimp dishes in the world and the lobster is so fresh it melts in your mouth. thanks Phillipe for making my food the best i ever eaten in my entire 43 years living
BY FAR THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER TASTED. I've been to France, Italy, Carribean, California, Greece, and many more. Please take the op to try it you'll love it. The neighborhood, is so cool, with clubs nearby, shopping its on 58th between park and madison.
Delicious and chic. This is a great spot, and the food was amazing. A few friends and I ate dinner here a few nights ago, and were highly impressed. The signature drinks were very good. We started with the house salad, which was super fresh and had an amazing vinagrette dressing. I also tried the wonton soup, and was plesantly surprised at how such a simple dish could be so delicious! I have never had a better soup anywhere! They serve the main dishes family style, so my friends and I were able to taste a number of things. My personal favorites where the sea bass, chicken jo lau, and the filet... amazing. Our waiter was so sweet and very attentive to everything... explaining the menu and the dishes perfectly. Overall, we were all very happy, and will definitely be returning soon.
Horrible food and service.. Since I've always had a great time at the bar I thought it would be a good idea to have a full dinner. BAD mistake. The lobster sushi was a joke. It was tiny bits of dry rubbery lobster wrapped in thick donut like dough. Gross. And whatever else we ordered was sub par and uneventful. Stay away from the dinning room and stick to the bar scene.
Amazing Food and Spectacular Atmosphere. I love this restaurant so much! The service service was great and the atmosphere is so hot!! The food is great and I love the shark fin soup!
This place has gotten worse and worse !. Had a very disappointing meal at Philippe last night. Food was not fresh and service was poor. They didn't clean the table before we sat and there were stains on the table cloth and on the plates and utensils. Service was worse than ever. I won't be going back to this place and would not recommend it to my friends.
So Good!. This place was unbelievable ! The service was impeccable, the Lychee Martini's are insatiable and the food is just..... perfect. We had the lettuce wraps, green shrimp, green noodles and lobster rolls..... all in all a wonderful meal!!
great amibiance. this place is gorgeous and the food is pretty good too over all i was impressed when my date took me here. i really enjoyed the wines and the dishes that were on the menu. good job!
Horrible !!! Stay away !!!. By the time you sit at table, you must be frustrated with this notorious manager because of his poor hosting and communication skill. Then you probably get mad since you don't get food any time soon. Besides, food is insanely overpriced. Lastly you should be infuriated when this rude waiter drops off your bill and tries to kick you out of the restaurant. Until you are all set, he is waiting right behind you to snatch your check. It is just amazing. If you don't wanna be treated like that, just stay away from the place !
Awful: poor food, poor service, high prices.
Philippe is simply appalling. The food was subpar: the crispy salmon wasn't crispy. It was, however, overcooked and covered in a sickly-sweet sauce. The velvet chicken, which our server assured us was very spicy, was so bland that we asked for hot sauce on the side to give it some flavor. The only good thing we ate was the chicken satay.
The service matched the food. Our waiter was pretentious and snooty but also inept. He (and the servers) put each and every dish in front of the wrong diner, both for appetizers and for the entree. One appetizer (the soup) didn't arrive at all until we asked where it was. It wasn't on the stove in the meantime, apparently, since it arrived cold. At the end of the meal we were presented with "warm" towels which were in fact quite cold.
Still, none of that was the worst aspect of the meal. This is: we had iced tea. The staff regularly took the glasses when they were halfway gone and refilled them without asking if we wanted refills. Then at the end of the meal we found that we had been charged for 7 iced teas. If a restaurant intends to charge for refills, it needs to ask before refilling the glasses. Simply appalling. Especially at $5 per glass. Needless to say, we won't be back.
Dont go, wasted of time and money. Place isnt good, overrated. They have an express downtown that is just as bad for 1/4 of the price. management thinks they are nice but they are a bunch of losers. Dont go, thank me after
