Nice location and good rooms. The place is super and the front desk is better than Hilton.
Nice condition, well managered. Good price. The manager has been nice all the time. Thanks! Will be back if there is any chance.
Wendy was an amazing staff member, so helpful with all our nonstop questions. Very friendly.
Staff were friendly. Especially Wendy always cheerful and answered all our questions.
I've stayed at a variety of Manhattan hotels, but I haven't found anything better than Morningside in terms of value and quality. The rooms are extremely clean, service is friendly, and the rooms are warm in the wintertime. Moreover, the Inn is in close proximity to many excellent restaurants, pubs, and several subway stops. It's also located very near the M60 bus route from La Guardia Airport. Even though I was on a business trip and my office was paying for lodging, I still choose to stay at Morningside. I'll be back next year.
This was our final destination at a two month tour and found it a nice place to stay. The bed was really comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. The place also had a shared kitchen area which had an oven and microwave. It is a good location for central park and it is in a nice area in general. There are drawers to keep your clothes in and a television if you just want some home comforts. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.
We have returned from our second trip to NYC and once again stayed at the Morningside Inn because we felt that the neighborhood is very safe and the hotel had all we needed to be comfortable. We noticed two buckets of tools along the sideway walking to the hotel that sat there for three days which shows what a safe and quiet street that it is. It is an easy ride from downtown on the subway and a $2.50 bus ride on the M60 from La Gaurdia. If you buy a seven day metro pass as you leave the airport at a cigarette stand, you can use it for the M60. On the street corner of the Morningside Inn is a lovely floral shop which had beautiful Christmas decorations in the window. Next door to it is a very well organized grocery store with delicious fruit on the street. Plus, there is a bagel shop, Absolute Bagels, next to it. There were also restaurants in the neighborhood. Patrick at the office printed us out directions to use the metro system for anywhere that we asked him to do so. There was also a metro system map which we picked up at the office window. Each day the maid straightened our room and left fresh towels. In our estimation, this is an excellent choice for budget travelers so that their money can be spent for all the city has to offer. As we told Patrick, we felt very safe at the Morningside Inn, and we felt that we had come home. We will stay there again and will recommend it to friends
