Great Addition to the EV / LES. The store has a great selection and in addition the prices are fantastic. The owner is Dominican and I don't think the 'gentrification' card is being played like the other poster suggested (just thought I'd add that). Anyhoo, East Village Wines delivers and they keep their stock up. Also, they have nice tastings and that's what makes a nice neighborhood wine shop.

This store ahs a moron for an owner. Besides being rude and not knowledgeable about any of their products. These people don't know anything about the neighborhood they're in. It's the LOWER EAST SIDE!!!! not the f*ing east village! It must be some hipsters who commented before me because they obviously agree with this store being in the L.E.S. These owners are playing the gentrification card and basically saying I don't care about the neighborhood or the people as long as there is money in my pockets. To all the people who shop there STOP. Be true to the neighborhood that you live in and shop at stores that give back.

Good deal. Every time I purchase wine or liquor here, I'm always glad I did. The staff is really laid-back and friendly; a far cry from some of the snooty wine stores which can plague New York. They're very helpful in choosing wine pairings and their prices are usually cheaper than other stores. The pet store next door is always a convenient place to latch your dog for a bit while browsing...

Best Price & Customer service in the lower east side. There's a variety of wine & liquors at a very good price. The store do events for you to taste and learn about fine wines & spirits of your liking.

My neighborhood's best unpretentious store. Unlike the slew of frou-frou rude and pretentious wine stores nearby, this store has the dual advantages of good prices, and a caring, attentive staff. They listen to recommendations and now stock everything I like. I wish more decent stores of this kind would open nearby and fewer trendy boutique stores.
