The food in this restaurant is not great but it is OK for the price paid. I don't recommend you ordering wine in glass or in carafe since white wine that we ordered tasted just a little bit further than water. The staff can not speak English clearly and you can be blamed about not understanding what they say. As a first-timer of this different cuisine I would expect more enthusiasm from the staff about different options in the menu.

Took my boyfriend here for his borthday this past Saturday. Enjoyed every last minute of the delicious food (we had tzatki and eggplant spread), greek salad and then snapper, spicey greek meatballs. HOWEVER, I asked for a bottle ofmerlot that was $30. The waitress said they didn't have it but she'd bring me another bottle. It was a $45 dollar bottle which is wuite a gap! I understand I should've mentioned to stay in the same price range, but she definitly took advantage of that situation! Lesson learned....great food, but be upfront when asking about the prices! Would go back in a heartbeat!
Pros: Outside seating by park, authentic greek food, best i've had in astoria
Cons: expensive wines--upcharge you on the bottle service without asking you!
