I used to work down in the financial district. One of the best italian meals I have ever had in the city. A real gem of the financial district. Great date spot with a welcoming and warm ambiance. I had the veal cutlet with fresh mozz and tomato sauce. Absolutely out of this world.

Best Italian in Manhattan. The atmosphere at Giardono's is unparalleled. The food is absolutely superb, as well as the service. This place is the gem of the Financial District offering the best of what Italy has to offer. Authentic and delicious, eat here!

I love this place. I love this place its so beautiful its spacious they have many rooms and 2 floors there wine is very exclusive. Excellent food, Staff is great. They gave us a nice tour of the place. They're a bit pricey but hey its the finacial district and its well worth it. I reccomend highly.

AWESOME!!!. I work in Downtown NYC and I frequently take clients out to lunch and I have gone to Giardino D'oro three times now and the food and service is AMAZING.

The food tastes excellent and is beautifully presented and it is my all time favorite in NYC.

I went there today for a client lunch and had the best red beet salad for an appetizer that I've ever eaten. Again tomorrow I have a work function and I'll be going back to Giardio D'oro.....I can never go there too many times.

Highly recommended -- everything on the menu is excellent and the ambiance of the restaurant is perfect both in decoration and noise level.....you can actually hear the people at your table instead of most places where you have to strain to hear and talk loud.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!!

Just Perfect. I recently started working downtown and asked a few of my co-workers to recommend a great place to have dinner. All of the recommended Giardino D'oro and they told me that if I go there, I have to meet the owner Benny because he is great.

I took my boyfriend there for his birthday and we had a great experience. Not only was the food great, but the staff was unbelievable. When the owner Benny found out it was my boyfriends birthday, he came over and wished him a happy birthday. He also gave us both a drink on the house to celebrate his birthday.

This is a great place and I would recommend it to everyone.

Horrible service. We went to celebrate a special occasion and on a last minute recommendation. At first all was fine, but once we looked at the wine menu they insisted on selling us the higher priced wine but we wanted a reasonably priced bottle. Though the wine was still expensive, I don' think they were happy with our choice and the service went down hill. They approached us about 6 times from moment they opened the wine asking if we were ready to order though it was barely 7pm.

At one point my phone ringer went off (I usually have it off and forgot this one time) and I told my eating companion "oops that's my musician friend's music on my ringer" and as I was turning it off and putting it on silent the "manager" Benny barked at us "You can't play music! Turn that music off!" I explained it wasn't music but my ringer and I was in process of turning it off. I felt like a child being chastised instead of a paying adult customer. We decided to pay for our wine and leave. One of the waiters was shocked and asked what happened, while this Benny person gladly saw us leave. My partner said sarcastically "great service" and Benny smiled as if relieved we were leaving. I was disgusted since they only had 3 tables including us. One would think they want to keep any customer there. I checked other online reviews and apparently this is their standard behavior.

Unacceptable behavior on his part--save your money folks. There are plenty of high quality, better priced restaurants with excellent service in New York.

just excellent. I was originally a bit skeptical when I was reading reviews about this place, because the reviews seemed to be just too good. Now I agree with them 100%. The food is great, the service is top notch, and the ambience is very charming. My wife ordered seafood linguini. I ordered steak special with shitake mushrooms and espresso. Everything tasted great. Unfortunately, we didn’t have room for desert because the meals were large.

Warning - Flames is now an Italian Restaurant. The steakhouse is no more..... We used to love the steak house at 5 Gold, now it has changed to an Italian. The food is OK, but the prices are still steep.

Yummyyyyyyy. Just about every full service restaurant at New York City serves steak that tastes about the same no matter where you choose to order it from. And that's why, since Flames Steakhouse opened up, i prefer to eat steak only at Flames. If you understand the theory of aging beef, you'll know why the steak here is so much better than anywhere else in THE world and to die for. The service at Flames is incomparable- waiters helped us individually choose the right cut, preparation, type of steak and degree of doneness. Not only that, the waiters also helped us pick the right wine so we can enjoy every bite of our delicious/juicy stake with the right type of wine.

P.S. the deserts are fabulous!
