Nice of you to follow-up! The rental was great. Thanks for the upgrade. The midsize car is pretty cool. Look forward to renting from you the next time I am in NY. Regards, After having HARD TIME with other car rental places in the upper east side such as avis, hertz, alamo and enterprise (yhhh enterprise ) you are so much better

I recently rented a car from Presige Car Rental, reserving an Explorer SUV 3 weeks in advance to be used when some friends were visiting from out of town. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was told they didn't have any SUV's left, that the previous renters simply hadn't returned the cars. I accept that this can happen with car rentals and while it is by no means acceptable, it happens. The lady, if you can call her that, working in the office simply told me flatly that there were no SUVs and didn't immediately offer a substitute. When I asked her why I wasn't called to tell me there was going to be a problem with my rental, she offered no explanation. When I asked what other cars she had, I was offered a Ford Taurus; not big enough for the 7 people I would be traveling with. After a couple of calls to other rental places, I suggested they give me two midsize cars for the same price which ultimately they agreed to (if you consider a Ford Focus a "midsize" car). After we had agreed that would be the arrangement, I had the following with the lady working: Her: "you know you really have nothing to be mad at us about, you showed up more than 30 minutes after the time you were supposed to pick up the car and our policy is that we don't hold rentals if you're more than 30 minutes late" (my reservation was for 8am, I showed up at 8:45) Me: "is that what happened? Did you rent the car to someone else who came in between 8:30 and now? Her: "no" Me: "did you even call the renters who were supposed to return the car last night" Her: "yes. Some of them" Me: "so, in fact you DIDN'T call them." Her: "no, but you really don't have anything to be mad at us about". At this point I just walked away from the counter realizing the woman is clearly and idiot and not worth getting anything more than a laugh out of . I haven't been billed yet but will watch carefully for any extra charges. Don't waste your time with Prestige, they're terrible.
Pros: Good prices
Cons: Everything else. Customer service was abysmal.
