In Short – Thumping hits and house music may not ordinarily be coordinated with a neutral beige palette, but this earth-toned lounge went with the clash anyway. Custom-built brown couches and a stretching bar ground the main room, which, lacking a dance floor, sends the neighborhood's preppy-trendy revelers to shimmy around the perimeter. Though the overall vibe is your standard upscale-casual, the slightly elevated platform in the rear is reserved for bottle service-sipping VIPs.

Great house spot!
by littlemissnyc
I was at a soft opening party at Niche the other night and had a really good time! It was a Brazilian party (which I heard they'll be doing on the last Friday of every month), but regularly It'll have house DJ's. There were bongos and a Brazilian dancer and overall a great vibe and energy! There were bottles on tables and the staff was very attractive and nice! The place looks really gorgeous, with red and gold velvety seats and curtains, lots of mirrors and chandeliers. I'll definitely go back! It's doing Friday and Saturday parties right now.
- Pros: Great place, music & staff!
- Cons: None that I know of
I wish I could shut this club down to save the rest of NYC from this experience
by romeosp
Bottom line... This club is horrible! I showed up with a party of 10 girls and two guys and had called ahead for a reserved table. The management of the place treated me like dirt. What they didn't know is that if they treated me well I would have generated a rather large bill. The only person that saved the night was my friend who promoted the club. After being asked to move my table three times we decided that it was now personal. I cut the waitress off after my minimum and bought the rest of the night from the bar. She was rude, ugly, and never around. The busboy was more attentive, and he didn't even speak english. The crowd was worse than a local bar in the bronx. The music was ok, but the fat women who danced above the booths scared me, with a fear that they might fall on me. The club has nothing special. There is no dress code and it looks like they recruit people from the hood to go there. Do me a favor go elsewhere. My party spent the night there and we had fun within ourselves, but I was discusted with the service, the crowd, and the atmosphere.
- Pros: The music was ok
- Cons: The rest of the club. The atmosphere, crowd and service was bad
Underrated new weekend hotspot!
by littlemissnyc
This hot new club is gorgeous, and I don't know why more people don't know about it!! It's got newly renovated pinewood floors, beautiful chandeliers and plush velvet banquets! There's a raised area in the back for the V.I.P.'s and plenty of room to dance anywhere. The music's always great, the crowd is mixed and hot, and so is the waitstaff!! This place is a weekend gem! Drink and bottle prices are competitive, but NOT extravagant! At the door, ladies are usually comped before midnight on the promoter's list and it's just generally easier to get in if you come a little before the rush, say around midnight or a little before. For now the place is just open on fridays and saturdays, but i heard rumors of a potential thursday party starting up soon! Come check it out! Saturday's a shoe-in for a packed, fun night out! Last week Redman was there, and the week before that I saw David Schwimmer!
- Pros: Hot staff, DJ, prices
- Cons: None!
RUDE Promoter
by callisto
I signed up for a guestlist which was free before midnight. We got there at 11pm. The promoter didn't honor the guestlist. He gave me an attitude then asked for a copy of the email. I didn't print it because it didn't say I needed to. DON'T sign up to be part of any other promotional club websites when you're not even going to honor them!!!! The promoter was RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. The 6 of us girls paid anyway & when we got inside, there were 7 other people there. The music inside was good, but not enough to make up for the Rude promoter.
Sweetest bartender, Good b-day spot
by bethrenee883
I recently visited Embassy while celebrating my 23rd birthday in Manhattan. The club was packed, but not obnoxious, had a good energy. The music was pretty mainstream pop/hip hop, but it worked with the crowd. The female bartender was sooo sweet to my friend and I, she gave me a free shot for my birthday and was just very unassuming and sweet. The club promoters I met there were also very cool, sweet guys. And in the women's restroom they have a girl on staff who turns on the water when you're ready to wash your hands, and is waiting with paper towels when you're ready to dry them. The only bathroom I saw in NYC that topped this one, was at Bar 89 in SoHo.
