BRING EARPLUGS & THICK SKIN

When we made the reservation for my birthday (there were 3 of us), we had requested a specific table but when we got to the restaurant there was a large party seated next to the table and it made the area very tight. So we requested another table but the owner was incredibly difficult and very arrogant about it. Later, the dining experience was ruined by a group of loud and boisterous drunk men who were acting like they were at a pub watching a game. Although people were complaining and requesting that they ask the group to quiet down, nothing was done not even an apology. All this was going on while the own ate his dinner outside. The food was fine but also very overpriced. I would never dine here again.
- Cons: horrible accoustics & arrogant owner
Messed up our reservation and did nothing to fix it!

My husband and I called Antonucci's on Wednesday night to see if they had any reservations for 2 outdoors. They told us they could take us at 7:45 outside and took our name and number. We don't live uptown and it took us 45 minutes to get there. When we arrived, we were told by the female hostess that the person who took our reservation made a mistake as they only take reservations outside for parties of 4 or more. There were two open tables for 4 outside, but they refused to give us either table and told us that we could not even wait for a table to open up outside as they were all booked. They said they tried calling us, but we saw the number they took down (it was correct) and we never received a call from them on our way uptown. They offered a table inside but were rude, unapologetic and did not even offer anything to make up for their mistake, such as a drink at the bar. We left and enjoyed our night elsewhere. I have previously enjoyed great food here, which is too bad, because we won't be back.
- Pros: Good food, atmosphere
- Cons: Unprofessional
Very good food, at a great value with a traditional UES crowd

Antonucci is a very "grown up" place. The food is very good, the service very professional and the ambience quite tasteful. The crowd tends to be older Upper East Siders and their families. Service is highly professional and friendly. The menu is italian but the key is to order from the daily specials that change constantly. They have some excellent fresh pasta and lovely meat dishes. Delivery is available but tends to be slow and chaotic
- Pros: Solid food, tasteful ambience
