Why the Big Chains Will Eventually Win. Good variety? YES.

Health-conscious? As much as ice cream can be...

Overpriced: WAYYYYYY.

$4+ for one scoop of ice cream? Trust me, the scoops aren't that big, and the waffle cones are narrower than I've seen other places.

A coworker and I went there the other day on an ice cream craving. She got a chocolate/sprinkles dipped waffle cone with 1 scoop of ice cream. Total? Nearly $8!

We're still grumbling about it...3 days later! It wasn't the best ice cream we've ever had, either. It was good, but not $8 good. It was slightly too sweet, and the flavor wasn't very strong (I had Mellow Yellow Banana).

Seriously, I won't be going back. I really hope they rethink their price list. I could have rationalized $5-6, but not $8.

Editorial Review. Ice cream parlor with additional sweets like chocolates and smoothies, plus hot espresso drinks, egg cremes and special sodas.

the org*&m$@c pumpkin ice-cream pie. The woman behind the counter tells you their pumpkin ice-cream pie is org*&m$@c--and people who buy it actually come back from miles around to tell her that she was right! So I had to try one myself--it is indeed org*&m$@c! Better than a real pumpkin pie if you ask me.

Great French pastries for breakfast!. So happy that my favorite ice cream store now also serves breakfast--Balthazar French pastries and organic coffee. It's now part of my morning ritual to stop by Emack on the way to the subway in the morning before work to pick up a fresh croissant or pane chocolat and a hot brew. Great addition, folks! Thanks!

Great ice cream cakes!. Quite a different sort of ice cream cake that the usual. The decorations are simple and elegant, and there's none of that filler that you get in most ice cream cakes: it's all ice cream with delicious hot fudge in the center. I ordered one for my husband's birthday party and everyone loved it.

Don't agree with all the fuss. Was totally disappointed -- the reviews overrate this place BIG time. The ice cream was good, but nothing spectacular, I make my own and it far out tastes... the turtle sundae was skimpy, the caramel cold, and it was prepared incorrectly, with walnuts not pecans. The chocolate soda was a complete disappointment -- didn't even have any chocolate flavor, and the ambience there was horrible. Again the ice cream wasn't bad, it tasted fine but for the prices -- not worth the trip!

Just what I've been looking for!. I'm a diabetic and was so happy to find such a tastey selection of sugar-free ice cream. Cheerful surroundings and good service, too. Can't wait to go back!

Adorable store!. Some of the most delicious ice cream I've ever had--on EITHER coast. And their late hours work well with my jet-lag. I'll be sure to visit again on my next trip.

An unforgettable find!. Being from Europe I felt right at home with Neuhaus chocolates and perfectly brewed cappuccino. I was so impressed with how clean the store was; I really enjoyed sitting and eating my dessert there. I'll certainly be back next visit.

Ice cream heaven!. If you like ice cream, you will love Emack & Bolio's. I had a White Pistachio and Grasshopper Pie ice cream sundae, and I thought I'd died and went to heaven. That was the first time I went. The next time, I had a Mellow Yellow Banana waffle cone that had been dipped in chocolate and nuts: wow! I can't wait to go back again!
