Corniness Everywhere. I used to come here Tuesday nights when I thought it was cool to skip the ropes. I came here again more recently and rolled my eyes right out of the door. The crowd is trying so hard to look cool they just end up looking ridic. The music was ok- nothing more than that. Just top 40s, the dj could have just put Z100 on. Only thing I like is the set up of the place- yes its small and smells a little of chlorine but it has some separated areas so I've never felt too on-top-of-each other although it does get crowded later. Oh and the bathrooms are nice. But thats it. Personally Id rather chill with normal people just looking to have fun than these aspiring social climbers.

Good time overall. Went here a few wkends ago on a Sat9 for a friends bday and had a great time. The music was good and the service was only decent overall at our table. The waitress had some issues pouring the champagne (she kept overpouring so it kept spilling over) and the busboys were a little slow to clean up the empty cups and bring more mixers etc. Also, i am not a fan of plastic cups at these places. it doesnt exactly scream classy when i am drinking champagne from a plastic flute glass but o well. but other than that we had a good time. Fun to dance around to but watch out for some of those B&T girls sneaking in. They jump into the water and splash around....uh...not a pretty sight lets jus say.

Check it out!. A group of friends and I went out this past Saturday night only to be devastated at Buddha Bar down the street from G Lounge. My husband recommended we check out nearby G Lounge (which has a free cover). To my utter surprise, we got in no problem and the bouncer was very down to earth and talkative. We enjoyed good drinks here and the bus-boy was very prompt in cleaning our table every few minutes by taking away the empty plastic alcohol cups. I definitely recommend this place if you're having a bad dinner/evening because G Lounge for sure brought my mood up! There's free coat-check too which is a plus!

Great last resort. Anytime plans fall through or my friends and I just feel like lounging at the last minute, we always head to Hotel Gansevoort's G Lounge for a fun night. It's a fun hangout and the DJ mixes up the music from 80's Michael Jackson to Notorious B.I.G. to The Killers. Drinks are great...if you're a girl like me, you have no problem getting a drinking at the sometimes crowded bar. Bottle Service is the way to go and there's coat check for those cold winter nights when you want to go out.

Most stuck up staff ever. Heard and read so much about the G spa. Weird smell stuck up staff smelled like a chimney from all the smokers down there.

Small hole in the basement. stupid and Boring.

Place never has anyone in it. My girl friend and I always get a bottle of champagne and look at each other. Don't know why we keep coming back. The place is small, too bright, empty, no vibe. Weekends weekdays have been here several times. And no cute guys. Everyone in here thinks they are in Bungalo but who are they kidding.

Oh yeah and waiting ten minutes for the doorman to come up from down stairs and tell us we can come in what a joke! What else does a doorman do????

Great After Work and Pre Club Spot. I've been coming to this place for what seems like forever. The circular format of the bar is great for making eye contact and viewing all the cuties. The place can get very crowded during the weekend right before clubbing hours. I usually have the best experience heading to G on a Thursday after work for a few drinks with friends. The drinks are very reasonable and there's a DJ that spins great tunes.

Average Place...Not what I expected. I WENT HERE TWICE..without been on the list and GOT IN. I have an exotic look & petite...so I guess that helps....the place is WAY too small..and there really is no dancing at all..I am not into celebs or socialites..so when I go out.. I go to have a good time and dance..I don't care how many of them are around..I still prefer the roofdeck at the Gansevoort over this lame hyped up lounge. And I think if they want to make something exclusive they should at least hire HOT doormen.

Needless to say..as soon as I walk in i was disappointed...This place is only good if you want to sit all night and talk...and do nothing else.

Almost as good as they say. Went on a Thursday night, was on the list and we are two pretty girls. Inside the decor was really cool, the pools and the lights are a nice effect. The drinks were large and worth the price.

The crowd was pretty good, there were some celebrities and socialites, but it was not quite as good as you would expect from all the hype of this place.

There is a funny chlorine smell from the pools, you get used to it after a while, but it is very noticeable. It was worth going to, but expect to work hard to get in. The door man really sticks to the list.
