Editorial Review for G Lounge – by Katie Heffernan

In Short
The super-exclusive, smoldering mod space is actually a spa by day--and the team behind celebrity-strewn Butter designed the daily set change. At nightfall, the see-through hydrotherapy pool covers come out, specialty cocktails get shaken, and the curvy pedicure chaise lounges become flirtatious base stations. Don't expect to just show up at the door--the velvet rope here is based on recognition, and if they don't know you, you're not one of the 75 socialites getting in.

I used to come here Tuesday nights when I thought it was cool to skip the ropes. I came here again more recently and rolled my eyes right out of the door. The crowd is trying so hard to look cool they just end up looking ridic. The music was ok- nothing more than that. Just top 40s, the dj could have just put Z100 on. Only thing I like is the set up of the place- yes its small and smells a little of chlorine but it has some separated areas so I've never felt too on-top-of-each other although it does get crowded later. Oh and the bathrooms are nice. But thats it. Personally Id rather chill with normal people just looking to have fun than these aspiring social climbers.
