what a find!. My friends and I are on st. marks at least once a week and we dine out as often as possible. i must say, i have walked by Jebon at least 20 times without so much as glancing through their window but man, after last saturday, I really feel this place deserves more attention.

according to my friends who went back, the happy hour is off the hook, and anyone who is of age, needs to try the slushi sake before leaving. cheers to the owner too, very, very down to earth and chill fella.

Terrible Service & Staff. You be the judge here...I went to this spot for my lunch hour with my bf. We sat down placed our orders, the waitress brought over the soup and soda that comes with the meal. About 5-10 minutes later, the waitress brings out my bf's dish and walks away. About 20 minutes go by, he is now done with his meal, and another waitress comes over and asks if we need something to which we respond "yes, my order". Our waitress then comes over to our table and says the kitchen "forgot" to make it, do I want to wait for it? At this point, my lunch hour is over. Not once did the managaer of the restaurant come over, apologize for any inconvenience and suggest a solution or even a complementary dish. Instead, I left the restaurant hungry. How does that happen? Their wait staff is poorly trained as well as their manager. I have never been to a restaurant, especially in New York City, where a manager doesn't make up for a mistake his staff made. Any respectable restaurant will tell you this type of service is disgraceful. I wouldn't recommend anyone dine here. Not only is the service poor, the food isn't that great (I have eaten here before), and in the end you will only be waisting your time. The kitchen staff may "forget" an order...

Not worth it. I read the last 2 reviewers and thought I'd give it a try. Big mistake. I shouldn't have expected anything good where japanese, thai and other cuisines are made by a sole national. The thai food wasn't really thai ingredients. The chinese food was fine, because it was made by Chinese people. Anyway, it was all around disappointing. The price wasn't even that cheap. Just average.

Anyway, not planning to go back.

Re visit. Last time i ate there was almost 9 months ago. Nothing was special about that visit. I went back with 2 friends last Friday and noticed immediately they have added sushi. First I thought this is just another sushi shop but after we tried their volcano roll and dragon roll, I changed my opinion. They were amazingly good. My other friend who doesn't eat sushi tried their Tender Rib Soup Ramen which she enjoyed very much too. We also tried some sake slush at a bargain happy hour price which turned out to be good too. Overalll speaking they have improved alot.

where's the hot hostess?. i came here two years ago on a business trip, thought the food was OK and service was less than ideal, but the one plus the place has got going is the pretty girl greeting everyone at the door. Asian, beautiful long hair, just gorgeous. She even served me my food, since the waitress was slow. i went back last night and she was not there anymore. if anyone remember a beautiful asian girl working there about 2 years ago, lemme know too. cos without her my food was much less than average. i am not exaggerating either.

An amazing experience. i went here after finding Je'bon on Citysearch and had some noodles, sushi and sake. I ended up finding the bellydancers down stairs and met the folks that ran it. What an amazing atmosphere! I am informing all my friends of the amazing food and great culture downstairs.

Fish Noodles!. Went to try out Je'Bon based on reviews listed here... and I have to agree with the previous food critics here.

I got the Je'Bon noodles - which has fresh fish noodles. It was delicious. The broth was light and flavorful.

My friends got skewers and a seafood hotpot which were both pretty good. The seafood hotpot was a bit greasy on the bottom of the dish, but it wasn't overwhelming or anything. Both also had wonderful flavors.

The staff was trying to be very attentive, but maybe too attentive for our preferences. They came by to try to take our plates twice, but we weren't finished our food yet, so we let them know. It was no big deal to us, but may cause a problem for others. I'd rather half a waitstaff that's too attentive than not attentive at all.

From the front of the restaurant, you don't realize that there's a huge space in the back of the restaurant. I like it because I don't feel like I'm being cramped into a small tight space (as compared to other restaurants on St. Marks).

I would definitely come back for the good food!

Terrible service, couldn't tell you about the food...it never came.. I was pretty excited to try this place, despite its poor choice of blasting techno music. My boyfriend got his appetizer and meal (while I sat there watching him eat) about 20 minutes before the waitress finally came over and asked, "Are you missing something?" I replied, "Yes, MY MEAL." She walked away. Still no food for me. After another 10 minutes, I called her over and she told me the chefs were "busy." All I ordered was a spicy tuna roll and a salmon roll...nothing crazy. I asked for the check and she didn't even take anything off the bill, let alone apologize.

pretty yummy. i've been here a couple times for lazy sunday lunches and i've always enjoyed the food. it's reasonably priced,

tasty, and the owner is friendly and nice. it's been empty every time i've been there, but it might be more crowded during evenings.

don't even bother. If you are a food lover you will take my advise. Don't waste money and time trying

this restaurant. The food was horrible and it taste it like dirty cloth...I you know what I mean.
