A Truly Wonderful Place

What makes The Pilates Movement stand out from the sea of other pilates studios in the city is its top-notch, in-the-know, professional, and super friendly staff AND the cleanliness and organization of the studio.

The attention to detail -- whether it be to the body positions of each student in a group class or to making sure every participant sprays and wipes down their mat after each session -- takes precedence here and is what makes working out at The Pilates Movement such a pleasure.

I discovered The Pilates Movement three years ago when I was having yoga burnout and was looking for a new way to gain strength and tone without aggravating my bad knees or irritating my prone-to-injury neck.

I had never tried pilates before and started taking private sessions to be introduced to the movements. Wow! What a difference it has made in my life -- I have better posture, can lift heavy things without hurting my neck and back, have overall better muscle tone, and just feel better all around. I now take 4 group classes a week and truly look forward to the days when I have class.

Some other perks that this studio offers are: group classes that are 45-minutes long (a convenient length of time to fit into a busy schedule) and the ability to book private sessions, duets, and group classes all online anytime. This makes sticking to a regular schedule much easier and canceling appointments (24 hours prior to the class to avoid being charged) a cinch.

I live about 20 blocks from The Pilates Movement and pass by several other pilates studios on my way to class everyday. Sure, I could choose a studio much closer to my apartment, but I like The Pilates Movement so much and it has become such a welcome and integral part of my life, I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!

My favorite way to exercise!!!!

The Pilates Movement has seriously regained my faith in my ability to exercise and enjoy moving. The instructors are knowledgeable, approachable and create an environment that makes you crave coming back for more. The classes are great since they are a max of 4 people which creates an intimate atmosphere really conducive to learning.If you can splurge, the private sessions are truly an incredible personalized workout tailored perfectly to your body. I always leave feeling taller! In just a few months I not only gained so much self esteem from my Pilates Movement experience, I am so much stronger and more toned!

Big fan!!

I am not always the first one to want to exercise and would dread going to the gym, but the pilates movement changed that for me. Pilates is a fun, stress free way to get fit and feel great. I have been taking pilates for about a year at the pilates movement and I can honestly say that I see a tremendous change in my body. I am more flexible, stronger and feel healthier than ever. Between the knowledgeable, friendly and patient instructors and the intimate classes, max four people, I have honed in on muscles I didn’t know I had.

I would definitely recommend to all novices and experts. You will not be disappointed!
