What People Are Saying About Tigerland

The Scene
Diners waiting for a table at this sleek eatery can pass the time guessing what kind of fruit tree sits in the waiting area (Answer: kumquat). That kind of stylized exoticism permeates the entire space, nowhere more clearly than the walls--lined with alternately lit clear tubes that create a striped effect worthy of the restaurant's moniker--and the young, fashionable clientele.

The Food
Though the menu plays with flavors of the Far East, the resulting dishes favor Westernized palates. Spring rolls are resculpted into shapes resembling stuffed chicken wings, their mild flavor countered with a tangy dipping sauce, while rice rolls get packed with Vietnamese sausage and bacon. Entrees could benefit from more authentic flavor, especially considering the higher-than-average prices: Despite unusual accompaniments like organic Japanese sweet yams, the roast duck curry, Massaman short ribs and caramelized catfish barely rise above their timid spicing.

The food at Tigerland is delicious! The food tasted very gourmet and flavorful and was reasonably priced. Great staff and hospitality. The owners care about the quality of their food and ingredients -- Everything is organic and locally grown. We got the shitake and scallion fried rice, wild shrimp with mint, basil, and snow peas, chicken with basil and long beans, and pea shoots. All was great! For dessert we had a thai iced tea cupcake (mmm!) and a coconut pudding. The pudding was refreshing and perfect for the end of the meal (even though we were already stuffed from all the dinner we ate!) -- you should definitely order it when you go there. We traveled quite a way to get there but it was worth the trip. Highly recommended!

Everything was just delcious! Its the best asian food I've had in ages. There was something for everyone in my group (veggie options for me and meat for everyone else). I definitely recommend the garlic fried rice and the cupcakes. Everything was fresh and just really really good--everyone at the table agreed. Highly recommended! And very reasonably priced for the quality of food you get.

The food was very good here & they offered some exotic teas to accompany your meal. I came w/ a group of 12 friends & everyone enjoyed their meals. We each ordered something different & we were totally full by the end of the night.
