Jadis Restaurant

In Short – Opening on one of the neighborhood's last gritty blocks is a chic spot for affordable French wines. Large sidewalk windows brighten the cafe-like front, but the room's rustic touches become more luxe as the bar stretches back to an almost medieval lounge. Kerosene candles and filament-glowing chandeliers illuminate chocolate leather couches, arching brick ceilings and cabinets stocked with wine. Cheap bottles and $5 glasses--hard to find in French wines--pair well with artisinal nibbles from the countryside.

Nasty little manager...

Nasty little man...Gerald Stinner the manager

I recently went to this little wine bar and I have never been treated so disrespected in a restaurant. The little manager named Gerald Stinner, that owns or runs the place is going to get punched in the face one day by someone for being his nasty self. He will try and intimidate you into ordering more food or wine. I was hesitant to post, but after reading that this is not just my imagination. I check the guy out on YELP and I am not the only person that has beef...Instead of getting violent, I think its nice to air the truth! Go to Enoteca down the block...

Excellent Locale!!!

Recently I threw a bon voyage party here and it proved perfect!!! The bar is charming. There is a lovely "living room-esque" back area that can be reserved for larger sized parties. And as a lover of wines, I thought the wine list was thorough and reasonable. I didn't eat the food there, but it looked pretty good. The staff was very friendly as well. I got so many compliments on the location choice from my friends. I highly urge you to try this bar, whether for a glass of vino or a larger get-together.

Chill Wine Bar

I guess I am not a big wine snob but I came here after 1AM on a Saturday night and this place was pretty empty. I am not complaining though because the last thing I wanted at that point was squeeze into a bar without a table to sit down.

Good service, super chill atmosphere but strangely only 1 beer on tap. Prices here are normal wine bar price.

Pros: Chill, good wine selections
Cons: only 1 beer on tap

a really chill, cozy spot

I had a birthday party here (~15-20 guests) and the reservation and service were wonderfully smooth. Multiple guests said they are putting Jadis on their list of places to return to. Cozy sofa areas in the back are perfect for parties. The back was split up into two sofa areas and they comfortably handled two small parties.

Pros: comfy, cozy, great wine selection
Cons: none
