“great DJ, good atmosphere”
“great customer service, they were very accomodating and speedy with our order.”
“They did try to accomodate but we ended up changing two of our treatment to the salon for a hair blowout because we couldn't wait then they tried to charge us the full price of $75!”
Avoid upstairs down stairs better. I would like to say. Place has a nice scenery accept for the waitress. They look very tired and like they were suked out of air. Not friendly can barely put down your drink and serve you. My experience one brunette she looked exhausted like she had another job as if she were doing my group a favor in asking us what we like to drink. As for another girl Christy stop l*cking for money. Please gansevort change your staff doesnt match the decor. Too skinny and Id suggest you slick some vaseline maybe customers get a smile hear and there. This is a hotel not Mcdonalds.
great DJ, good atmosphere. I went to G Spa for a small party last night and they did an amazing job with it. great customer service, they were very accomodating and speedy with our order. Really good music on saturdays - DJ was great and didn't play house music - played a good mix of fun songs to dance to. I highly recommend it!
great face massage. Get the Mehta facemassage with Helen. She has a way with her hands that puts me to sleep. I tried to follow the movement of her hands so I could do them at home but drifted off to bliss. When I woke up, the puffiness under my eyes and face were gone so I actually looked younger. Helen said that the face massage wasn't just for wrinkles but for congestion and sinus problems. On a regular basis, it would help with wrinkle prevention. Since I got regular facials, I thought her enthusiasm was hype, it wasn't. My face looked good and I felt great.
Big Hipe Big Disappointment. My out of town friends wanted to do a spa day , they called and booked 4 mani/pedi and facials. We get there the "soaking pools" are broken ( they neglected to tell us that when we called) and there is only one nail tech to do all our nails. They did try to accomodate but we ended up changing two of our treatment to the salon for a hair blowout because we couldn't wait then they tried to charge us the full price of $75! Not a a good spa if you are looking for a true day spa...facials were good but not recommended for a spa day with friends...it is feels too much like a night club.
What was once a road map NOW a new Porsche!!. Caterina Marra is FABULOUS!!! She loves what she does and it shows. My facial was not rushed, she took her time & and I look radiant. They found a new devout customer in me! Thanks Cat, I look and feel like a million buck!
Best Facial EVER!.
I'm not sure who serviced AdGirl at G Spa, but shame on them. I had a fabulous experience there with Katerina. She was knowledgable, sweet and her hands felt like BUTTA! All joking aside, the experience was top knotch. In the last six months I've been to G Spa, Cornelia and Skin Care Lab. My facial at G Spa was, by far, the best of the three. Period.
Highly recommended.
Don't make the trip. I have to be honest, I thought the spa was a cool idea...but when you're there and you know that it was a bar just a few short hours before and you're getting a facial 2 feet from a banquette that doesn't look too clean you don't think it's cool anymore. As for the manicure/pedicure it was awful- the place was so dark they couldn't even see my nails. I actually had them stop after I realized it was not even worth my time to sit there.
A smoldering spa designed for both socializing and escaping.. The Gansevoort's social butterfly vibe has landed in its high-design beauty haven. The mod space's metallic full bar and fiery Plexiglas wall panels induce voluminous social chatter rather than peaceful solace, but the largely socialite crowd doesn't seem to mind. Sound seeps into the trio of thin-walled treatment rooms--so even during your massage you'll be eavesdropping on the pedicure clients, who laze on curvy chaises along the elevated hydrotherapy pool deck. A steam room and the Hiro Haraguchi hair salon round out the posh offerings.
