Tips for Portofino Sun Tanning Center

good spray tans at portofino. I usually airbrush at the Portofino on Columbus Avenue, but I was shopping in the neighborhood and decided to hop in for a quick spray tan. Mimi was my technician and she was friendly and thorough. As usual, I was out the door in 30 minutes looking bronze and beautiful. I would recommend any of the portofinos for spray tanning. (i don't use the machines so i am not sure how they are)

great tanning on greenwich. This tanning spot is right by my apartment. The later hours are great for squeezing in a sassy tan after a stressful day at work. I am obsessed with the employees there...Christine, Andrew, Brennen...my favs! These kids know how to make me feel like a million bucks even when i walk out looking like a sweat sock. I usually stick with the Matrix bed and the silver bullet, but every now and then i switch it up with a stand-up. I just gotta give a shot out to the friendly service and awesome tanning at this place!!

spray tanning. this place is great! the airbrush tan i got their was the best ive had done in the city, their better then my girl in the hamptons. people seriously couldnt believe it was a spray tan. i def recomend it, and the girl their made me feel so comfy i forgot i was in my underwear!

Student Pack got me TAAANN!. I waited until last minute to get tan for my friends wedding. i had one week to tan and bought the 10 pt student pack for $79. I came everyday and by Saturday, looked phenom!! I was soo happy with my tan and it really made me feel beautiful in my bridesmaid dress. I'll be back for more tanning action for sure.

my staple tanning salon in the village. Tanning? yesss tanning. i do it. i love it. and until we have weather like the west coast i will come to Portofino every now and then to look tan and HOT! seriously. I have been going there for years. I thought they were pricey at first so I shopped around for a bit trying other places in the hood, but ended up coming back to Portofino. They always have amazing sales during the summer so I splurge, get a fatty package and it lasts me for a year. I see celebs every now and then (which admittedly is fun) and I always enjoy chatting it up with the fun people that work there. I do wish they were open longer though. Sometimes after a long work day I could just go for a relaxing tanning session at midnight.

spray booth is my thang!. I love the spray tan deal there. I paid $99 for 10 spray tans--i think that is the best deal I have seen. the machine is great, quick, and i leave with a fabulous beachy tan. i haven't tried the sprays where someone actually sprays you (that will be my next step). but i do know--the auto bronzing one is sweet!

This black man tans!. Yeah, I tan. yeah, I'm a dude, and YEA i'm black. I admit it. But with this awful weather, you can't blame me for doing what I can to look dark and beautiful. I don't normally write these things, but Terry and his peeps there are GREAT. He said if I really do like the place, to give them a shot out online. So here I am, admitting that I tan and Portofino, and I love it. I only do the basic strong stand-up, i buy a package that costs me about $120 and it lasts me for 6 months or so I slather up with some fancy accelerator lotion (tho I don't know if I neeed to spend as much as I did on it) and voila! I am tanned and glowing. I have sent friends there and I will continue to RAVE about you guys at Portofino!

CHEAP and good tanning!. I went to another salon in the village and it was dirty and bad. Portofino Sun Salon is sooo much better AND get this, its cheaper???I think they lowered their prices or something. This place has always been known as THE PLACE to go - if you can afford it. Well I can! I mean.... its $10 a tan if you go in the morning! Love it.

Owner is Cool and Keep the Place Updated. I went into this place the other day and got a chance to actually meet the owner. This guy was really cool, no attitude at all. We talked about tanning (I used to work at a place when I was in college), and he showed me some of the new equipment that has come out since I was in the business. At the end of the conversation, he gave me a tan on the house. Cool guy. Just wanted to give his company a shout out.

tanning is fab. I am so over this rainy lame weather in NYC. OVER IT! soooo--I fake and bake to get through until the sun shows it's pretty little face. Portofino has been tanning my booty for a couple of months now and I am oh so grateful. i tan in "michael kors bed" (apparently it's his fav) and keep up my tan. The vibe is very chill and friendly and it is always clean.
