It's closed!

Someone needs to hire a listings editor at citysearch--this is the third closed restaurant I have come across in as many months that looks open for business on here. Fortunately I called to make a reservation and found out before trekking over there for nothing.

Are you kidding me?!

I made reservations for 7pm on a Saturday night for four. I walk in with my party and the place is virtually empty. The waitress asks me if I have reservations and she looks up my name. She tells us to wait by the bar which I found odd. We wait about a minute and when she returns it was not to seat us. I asked her what was going on and why we couldn't be seated since the place was practically empty. She says her manager is seating people in the back and that we are to sit at the bar and have some drinks. Basically, they were trying to force us to have drinks before we sat down in order to make some money. WE DON'T DRINK AND WERE NOT INTERESTED IN DOING SO. We just left and she looked embarrassed with nothing to say. She knew what she was asking us to do was ridiculous. I don't know who the manager is but this is no way to do business. He lost four customers and for what. Even if the manager was seating people in the back, which I doubt since there was no one seated in the front of the restaurant, the waitress looked perfectly capable of seating us. Never again!

Great customer service

everything was great, all I have to say is that this place is much better than Plataforma and porcao, why ? because the meat at Carne Vale had a lot of flavor not like in those other places, service was the best, can express myself better, except for one thing the manager was the worst,no education what so ever, the next time i go there and I'm planning to I will make sure to ask if the manager Atonio is there because if he is no way I'm going

In addition to a cold buffet, Carne Vale serves traditional Brazilian barbecue--waiters slice the meat of your choosing straight from the skewers. Brunch is also served on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
Know Before You Go:
Bar-hoppers hoping for a table or banquette will want swing by later in the evening after the dinner crowd has cleared out.
