In Short – With walls the color of cabernet and a space so small only two dozen patrons can convene comfortably, this intimate and dimly lit Italian wine bar fills up quickly. Like the scene, the menu seems like something straight out of Tuscany. An extensive and ever-changing selection of more than 75 vintages (such as the citrus-flavored Fazi Battaglia Verdicchio) can be paired with warm marinated olives, an array of grilled flatbreads and other Italian nibbles.
Great place, needs more variety
by chadgracia
I live in the neighborhood and was very glad when Riposo arrived. The friendly staff made good recommendations and went out of their way to make our experiences there pleasurable.
And the food is tasty. Only complaint is that in the past year, the menu hasn't changed, nor have the wines much; in the past 6 weeks, it seems that the same "daily special" wine has been offered. One would think that a wine bar would have all sorts of new finds to share with the neighborhood, and it's disappointing that they haven't. (Also, the cheese selection is boring -- take a few hints from Casalulla up the street and bring up your game here!) Finally, the staff seem to be getting less and less knowledgeable about wine. Last night, my server could answer no questions about the wines.
Overall, a great place, but in order to keep the regulars happy you need a) more variety, and b) better informed staff.
- Pros: Cozy, friendly staff, good wine
- Cons: Little variety, less knowledgeable staff
good wines and flatbreads
by chefvanessa
First time I went there, I arrieved very early, I had a good spot in the bar later on was a bit crowded. The bartender was very nice. I had one of the flatbreads with mushrooms and it was really really good.
Second time was not that crowded (tuesday night) but the experience was exactly the same.
If you like good wines in a nice neighborhood bar with local people I highly recommend it.
- Pros: wines
- Cons: it could be a bit loud
Excellent Brunch

I stumbled upon this place on a Sunday morning and went here for brunch. It's very small, but the brunch is delicious and very affordable. Perfect for a quiet brunch with <4 people.
- Pros: Delicious, Cheap
- Cons: Small
