Bait and Switch Agent
by UpperWasteSide
A Halstead agent and his client recently issued a fake "bait and switch" offer on our apartment and the result was an $850 lawyer fee for us when we refused to comply with the shakedown. Sellers beware!
Never Showed Up
by newyorkpro
I hired them to sell my apartment and they overpriced it and they never did open houses. I got a big name broker and once I gave them my listing, the broker gave it to her assistant. They kept reducing the price and still never sold it. I called my broker's manager and the manager never heard of me. The manager was polite but did not help. I went with another broker and they sold it in 1 month! Halstead is all smokes and mirrors. They look pretty but doesn't deliver. I don't trust them.
- Pros: Big name
- Cons: Broker never showed up-only assistants, too much hype no substance, no attention
Halstead Got It Done
by marklong2007
I just wanted to get my loft sold so I could move into the new development I just purchased closer to my office...I needed someone to take care of the sale. Halstead Property did a great job, the agent was so hands on. My apartment got sold through a New York Magazine ad placed by Halstead. Seems like they did anything and everything to sell my place. Will definitely go back next time I am moving...
Thanks,
Mark
- Pros: Marketing, Ethical Standards, Agent Hands On
- Cons: Should have more offices
