“great service”
Best Brokerage in NYC - coming from an Agent.
I have (unhappily) worked for 2 other brokerages in NYC, and I agree with the reviews that users have given them wholeheartedly. "Slimy", "run-of-the-mill", "bad agents". I was so tired of being under the umbrella of a company with a reputation that made me look bad before my phone could ever even get a chance to ring.
In a market as tight as NYC, you really do need clever, well-respected agents on your side - or your dream apartment - the one another broker's agent took a $200 application fee from you for - will have someone else's furniture in it by the end of the week.
I was recruited by the multi-talented and supremely sweet and helpful Grace Hiura and I never knew how great my life was about to get.
I have absolutely never worked with such a talented group of individuals. The screening process is intense, I interviewed for a total of 3 hours and took an online aptitude and IQ test. I am honored to be a part of a team of such professionals.
I have been with the company for a very short time respective to my entire tenure in real estate, and I have literally seen my whole career change.
If you need to buy, sell, or rent - I cannot imagine a better place to go. Immaculate talent with agents who will literally bend over backwards and come out guns-blazing to get you into the apt YOU want, not they apt with the commission THEY want.
I will never, ever leave.
Bait and Switch Agent. A Halstead agent and his client recently issued a fake "bait and switch" offer on our apartment and the result was an $850 lawyer fee for us when we refused to comply with the shakedown. Sellers beware!
Never Showed Up. I hired them to sell my apartment and they overpriced it and they never did open houses. I got a big name broker and once I gave them my listing, the broker gave it to her assistant. They kept reducing the price and still never sold it. I called my broker's manager and the manager never heard of me. The manager was polite but did not help. I went with another broker and they sold it in 1 month! Halstead is all smokes and mirrors. They look pretty but doesn't deliver. I don't trust them.
Halstead Got It Done.
I just wanted to get my loft sold so I could move into the new development I just purchased closer to my office...I needed someone to take care of the sale. Halstead Property did a great job, the agent was so hands on. My apartment got sold through a New York Magazine ad placed by Halstead. Seems like they did anything and everything to sell my place. Will definitely go back next time I am moving...
Thanks,
Mark
Editorial Review. Residential brokerage firm and property management company serving New York City and Brooklyn; handles properties for rent and for sale.
The best. A company where management's committment to integrity and service is so strong that it is mandatory for the people they hire. You won't find any better.
great service. I recently purchased a co-op in Manhattan and the realtor from Hastead was invaluable in finding me a place and guiding me through the maze of obtaining co-op approval.
Great Service.... I searched Corcoran, Brown harris Stevens, PruElliman....and had by far the best feeling with with Halstead. a lot of that had to do with Robert Cabrera, who is just a great Agent, and represents Halstead in teh highest regards. He is the reason why I am with Halstead. I look forward to purchasing my first apartment with him, and look forward to referring most close friends/colleagues who are looking to buy apartments, to him as well.
