What People Are Saying About Zibetto Espresso Bar

In Short – The sparkling all-white space has a thin marble-topped bar just waiting for dainty cups of espresso, maccchiato and cappuccino. There's no sitting, but there's just enough room to stand, drink and nibble on something sweet before jetting off to the nearby Central Park or--if you're unlucky--back to work. Owner Anastasio Nougos and his staff hand-pull each shot (made with Danesi beans) with loving care. Panino, pastries and gelato are also on the menu.
Best Espresso In NYC.

Having searched far and wide in Manhattan and Queens for the perfect espresso, I can finally put an end to my unwavering journey. I found Zibetto Espesso bar. The gentlemen behind the bar are expert barista's, many of whom have worked for years prior throughout Europe. When you walk in to Zibetto, whether uptown at 56th & 6th (across from Starbucks, ha) or their NEW location downtown in the Financial District at 102 Fulton and William St., you feel as if you are back in Italy, no seats, no fluff, just a bar to stand at and good coffee to savor. Also be sure to check out their food offerings ranging from Prosciutto Pressed Sandwiches and true Italian Cornetti (Croissants) to Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares. Enjoy!

- Pros: Excellent Espresso. Great Cornetti. Delicious Sandwiches. Though busy, real nice guys behind the bar.
- Cons: ...?
A Hidden Coffee Gem in the Big City

Who knew that such a small place could have such a big impact on Midtown? Zibetto is one of those local places we all want to call our own and keep for ourselves. Too late...the word is out! Intimate, interesting, vibrant and best of they know how to look after their customers and make a great cup of coffee. By walking through the front door, you could swear you're in Europe. Maybe it's the Italian background of host Anastasios, the foreign accents of staff and customers or just the care they take in preparing each cup. The Danesi coffee is smooth, sumptuous, rich and just delicious. It's a great pick me up at any time of the day, even if there's no seats (just stand at the bar). Don't be concerned if it looks busy, as service here is quicker than any of the big chains and there's lovely biscotti (cookies), cornetti (filled croissant-like pastries) to go with your order or even delicious home made panino sandwiches for a quick filling lunch. And for those who live downtown and can't get here, there's now a new Zibetto in the Financial District, on Fulton near Williams.
- Pros: International ambience, superb coffee, personal, friendly quick service
- Cons: No seats but stand at the bar to do business or meet other New Yorkers and tourists!
Avoid Unless You Enjoy Being Poorly Treated

Bored, disinterested Baristas grudgingly pull mediocre shots of espresso. They believe that just because they are Italian they are cool and know it all. Fortunately Knave, around the corner, provides an amazing alternative to what was the only coffee place in the neighborhood.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Miserable Coffee and Attitude
