Editorial Review for face to face nyc – by Katie Heffernan
In Short
Walking into this airy Chelsea spa feels a bit like entering a cloud, with high ceilings and light colors, and three simple treatment areas flooded with sun. The menu, on the other hand, is packed with color and comedy. Boys battling razor burn can get the Manly Touch to soothe and smooth their faces, and the spa promises a natural glow with the George Hamilton tan. Those hung-over should check themselves in for the Betty Ford treatment, known for releasing toxins and combating bloating.

Insider Tips
Hair RemovalThis is one of the only spas in the city to offer sugaring, a technique that's similar to waxing (which they also offer), but more natural, longer-lasting and (some say) less painful.
BrandsStocked on the spa's shelves are products from Astara, Anthony Logistics and more.
On the MenuIn addition to facials and hair removal, the spa also offers massage, body treatments, manicures, pedicures and anti-aging treatments.

I moved to the city a few months ago and I have been to few places for massage and waxing. Later I was referred to this spa by friend of mine and made and appointment for Massage Without Borders, which is 100 minutes of deep tissue and stretching. My therapist was Brian, very pleasant, polite and comfortable guy. He introduced himself, took me to the room and explained details about session, asked about my likes/dislikes. The massage room was simple, but clean with nice warmed up table in the middle. As soon as Brian put his hands on me I knew I was for a treat. His massage was deep, but gentle, strong, but within complete comfort and relaxation. I can honestly say Brian was 100% dedicated to my comfort, relaxation and well being. I got deep tissue massage where my body needed it to get the knots out and relaxing massage that made the stress of everyday life to go away for a while. I slept so well that night and woke up next morning still feeling like a million $$$. Brian’s incredible touch is something one is born with, can not be taught. I highly recommend him for a massage, it is worth your money. I will come back for more!
Pros: Spa is very clean, plays good music and smells great!
Cons: Too small and hidden

I am a regular here and really look forward to my treatment every week. This is a very relaxing space, with good music, a comfortable feeling and delightful scent, even when you get off the elevator. Enrique is genuinely warm and cares about his clientele, and I have referred several friends, all of whom have had the same positive experience. I feel welcome and special here, and I am glad I can support a local business by being a regular. Although this is fairly small space (3 treatment rooms, one area for manicure/pedicure and a shower) it is immaculate and tasteful. I'm sure within a year or two, the business will be successful enough to grow into a larger space, although there is nothing lacking in the current environment. I have had several treatments, including waxing, facial and massage, and have been extremely happy with all of them. I'm kind of a "spa junkie" and have been to dozens of spas in 5-star hotels around the world, and have plenty of experience comparing these services. You can probably find a more beautiful setting at many of them than the middle of NYC, but I would rate the spa services at facetoface comparable to any of the most expensive spas I have visited. For a new yorker who can't head off to hawaii or california or france every time I want a massage or facial, this is a pretty great find.
