The clothing is replete with suave British flair, including cotton dress shirts with bright undercuffs, quirky-yet-refined woven silk ties, bold-colored pocket squares, sleek Jeffrey West chisel toe shoes, and slim suits created with season-appropriate fabrics including lightweight cotton, tweed and linen.

I still can’t figure out Duncan Quinn’s business model of selling WAY overpriced suits to a demographic that doesn’t seem to exist. Either their target demo is older men who want to pretend to be young, wearing their amethyst-lined blue pinstripe – or they are targeting the five sub 30-year old men in NYC who can drop 3k+ on a suit. And it’s not so much the price that should give one pause as it is the quality. Duncan Quinn outsources the entire tailoring process, which is why their costs are so high, which get passed onto you. Essentially, if you took the time you spent to find and learn about Duncan Quinn and applied it to finding a good tailor instead, you’d be saving yourself at least $1,000 going direct and not using DQ as your middle-man. Aside from this, the store is insanely limited, consisting of no more than 10 off-the-rack items and a cacophony of fabric swaths, etc. This further cedes to the fact that DQ is no more than a middle-man between you and some tailor in England. I would recommend Freeman’s Sporting Club as an alternative. Not only do they offer a decent selection of off-the-rack suits starting at 2k (with hand-sewn button holes), but they also offer a rather unique custom service consisting of no less than FIVE fittings. 5 fittings?! How do they do this? Simple: their tailors literally sit on the second floor of the store. For all the talk that DQ offers with respect to “fittings” good luck with that when you have to send it across the Atlantic to make the smallest adjustment. Also, Freeman’s Sporting Club has an insane selection of vintage fabrics. Think Sean Connery in a fitted grey flannel suit.
Pros: They've raised awareness about bespoke suits.
Cons: They outsource everything abroad. DQ is not a tailor.
