“Once inside there a great atmosphere that's not too crowded but not empty feeling either.”
“good bar 4 gay.”
“The doorman was nice and said would make an exception but after telling me there was only 3 people in the place decided against that too.”
“I'm so sick of hearing bad techno everywhere I go- whoever said all gay people love that was clearly on something strong.”
“Arrived at 11; they wanted to charge me full price of $10 bucks for a Friday night.”
No One There.
Arrived at 11; they wanted to charge me full price of $10 bucks for a Friday night. I said no I thought it was $5. The doorman was nice and said would make an exception but after telling me there was only 3 people in the place decided against that too.
In short, maybe if you arrive late. I dont see why they dont just open their doors at 12:30 when they said the go go boys arrive. The club is in the middle of no where. Seems pretty lame. wont go back
LOVING THE BARTENDER!!!. I TRULY CAN SAY THIS IS WHERE YOU WANT TO GO IF YOU WANT TO HEAR SOME REAL MUSIC "HIP HOP & R&B" . I JUST MOVED HERE FROM THE SOUTH AND THIS IS THE FIRST PLACE THAT PLAYS MUSIC I CAN RELATE TOO. TIME OUT FOR ALL THE TECHNO MUSIC. THE ATMOSPHERE WAS AMAZING AND THE STRAIGHT BARTENDER IS MINES...SO STAY AWAY FROM HIM...LOL...I WILL MOST DEFINITELY COME AGAIN!!!
avoid as much as possible. i had no fun, 1st the owner of the club wasnt letting anyone in because it was way too crowd! than a gay guy skips the line we get into it (agruing) ugh than its no place to put your coats the owner of the club was also rude because there was a fight in the club and he didnt care!! omg never again the bathroom is also very unsanitary and smelly
amazing music. I'm so sick of hearing bad techno everywhere I go- whoever said all gay people love that was clearly on something strong. This is my new place so I don't really like advertising how good it is, but I also sympathize with anyone who's been desperately searching for somewhere good. Saturday nights it's all about Secret. Loves it!!
Cute spot with fun bartenders!. Two friends and myself were out for a night on the town last night for a b-day celebration and we decided to try the fairly new Secret Lounge out. You might just miss Secret if you're not looking hard enough, but look for the two black doors with pink lighting overhead. The place is gorgeous inside and the bartenders are fabulous, and very accommodating. I can not leave out the very easy-going doorman who obviously has not been jaded by his job as of yet! Secret was not very crowded when we got there but the night was still young, and I'm sure it will get busier as time progresses and more people learn of this place. The only downfall might be that although Secret is dubbed as a mix crowd, it was more gay on Saturday night. Now this is not a downfall as far as hanging out there, but if you are a straight male or female there is limited chance of hooking up.
Great night out. I don't know how to say this but I'm kind of a big deal. And Secret Lounge rocks! I laughed, I cried, it was better than Cats.
Sleak and Fun. Great looking space, hot brasilian bartenders and cute crowd - but no attitude. Check out Thursday nights when they have a sweet DJ. Perfect for birthdays and private parties too.
Very sleek, s*xy bar. A lot of fun on Friday's but try Thursday's too. Very sleek, s*xy bar. Everyone basically looks good with this lighting. The music selection is always great (there is usually a DJ on Thursday's) and the boys behind the bar are very cute and sparky, not the jaded type you find elsewhere in New York, which can also be said about the crowd.
I'd go back anytime. You're greeted at the door (once you find it) by New York's nicest doorman. Once inside there a great atmosphere that's not too crowded but not empty feeling either. The bartender's make strong drinks but their still tolerable tastewise. The patrons are a mix of all orientations and everyone is pretty friendly and laidback. Overall great place to relax with friends.
Far west in Chelsea, this sleek lounge is never too crowded and never too loud..
In Short
Even those looking for this bordello-like lounge may pass right by its small sign and dark warehouse doors. Thankfully, black leather banquettes and pink velvet sofas await wayfarers inside, and rosy votive candles cast an intimate and lulling glow. The nicely leveled dance music is low enough to converse and loud enough to groove to--and the crowd of gay and straight patrons do a mix of both. Trust the bartender with the house specialty, a caipirinha with a splash of Red Bull.
