NYU crowd, a delicious uplift to an ordinary day.
by nybapfood at Citysearch
This restaurant is extremely popular among the NYU crowd, or should I say, the crowd inside is mainly NYU as far as I can see. The free wi-fi, something so simple, along with the great sandwiches attract me and my friends. We will sit for extended periods of time between classes without being rushed, but still being surrounded by other people. The sandwiches are a good twist, this coming from a person who doesn't really like the ordinary subs or bring-to-school sandwiches. The meatloaf seemed really popular the first few times I went, and finally I got it - only to be reassured that it was delicious. Many of my friends are vegetarians, and they enjoy the selection as well.
- Pros: tasty sandwiches, friendly ambience
- Cons: you may have to wait for your sandwich because its not so ordinary
Not worth the prices

At $9.50 for a sandwich, I expected a lot more than they served. I had some sort of Italian chicken sandwich b and was totally lacking in any taste or flavor, which was surprising. It was dry also but I'd asked the cashier for some sort of dressing to dip it in, and she gave me some lemon balsamic vinaigrette, totally unsuitable for the type of sandwich. I wouldn't go back. They didn't even give me chips or anything for the very high prices they charge. Go to a Starbuck's cafe instead, their sandwiches taste better, they're a lot cheaper ($6), AND you get chips!
