Editorial Review for Jumelle – by Kelly Phillips

In Short
A carefully edited selection of women's clothing, which tends towards seasonally trendy, loose styles in both bright colors and earth tones, plus shoes and accessories, call this narrow Brooklyn storefront home. Owner Candice Waldron favors trendy French designers like A.P.C. and Paris-based Erotokritos, a rare find in the States, but doesn't buy exclusively from France. Look for her showroom selections from Los Angeles-based Development and Grey Ant, amid many others.

User Reviews for Jumelle

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

Jumelle is by far my favorite shop in Brooklyn. The selection is supreme and the lovely ladies are most helpful and honest. For shopping or just browsing, Jumelle is always spot-on.

I have been to Jumelle several times and each time it gets progressively worse. Originally, the selection had a bit of variety, but at this point it's all loose fitting clothing with pretty much the same style. It's obvious the buyer favors one style and is purchasing items to her liking, not the customers of Williamsburg. It's unfortunate that Ylli went out of business since the selection there was far more diverse, I would gather that Jumelle will be shutting it's doors soon as well. Maybe if they act quick and buy some merchadise for fall, if they haven't used up their budget, that would attract other customers they might have a shot. I hope they try.

Pros: Limited selection

Cons: Great location, clean and bright
