Favorite Sushi & Service in JC!.
Amazing experience everytime "for us"! I can only speak for my group of friends. We prefer downtown JC verse going to the city all the time and Honshu is such a good local neighborhood spot. The staff is friendly and knows some of us by name (and its okay they don't know all of us by name). We go almost every Friday night and order so much food and drink for almost 2 hours. The best part about this spot is that it is byob and there is no corkage charge.
I do wish the atmosphere was better ie. comfortable seating, lighting, etc. Otherwise, I highly recommend Honshu!

Worst Service Ever!.
If I could give it less than one star I would!
We ordered food for delivery today at lunchtime (12 noon) and we're still waiting! Instead of trying to help us, the management there was very unfriendly and discourteous.
WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!!!

Very rude. The owner of this restaurant and every person that works there seems to have to worst attitude ever. Called in an order and after waiting for 55 minutes they said they are going to cancel my order. It was a $59 order and I would think that should give us some respect, but they were very nasty. Will never order from them again.

I don't know they do have a liquor license or not because they sell a beer only in dinner time, not at lunch.

Very nice overall. Telling you ppl, I was there few wks ago, I had d very best sus hi in town, d sashimi is so fresh, n try d Tuna tar-tar, its amazing. Also the cold spicy udon oh, its just surprisingly good. The service is good, they have nice staff, n d owner is very nice, friendly, thank u for d free desert:) Just bring ur own bottle.

Excellent consistent service. My sister had recommended this restaurant, so I took a visitor from Singapore there last Friday for an early business dinner. We both enjoyed the food and the nice, attentive service. I liked the sleek atmosphere and the variety offered on the menu, and the prices were very reasonable. It was a pleasant enough experience, but what really impressed me was the service afterwards. Upon submitting my expense form during the following week, I realized that I forgot to take an itemized receipt, which my organization requires for reimbursement of any business meals. I called Honshu to request a copy, assuming that the restaurant would brush off my request by saying that they didn't keep old itemized receipts. However, CeeCee from Honshu very kindly found my receipt and promptly faxed me a copy. I will definitely dine there again, and I hope to bring more people too.

Great when it opened - recently a disappointment overall.. We have frequented and loved this place for about a year after it opened! Got GREAT sushi and service too! Went last night and were so disappointed - we will not go back. Service was very slow and not so friendly. Even though we were one of only 3 tables. The sushi was not fresh - and no flavor in our usual picks! We have always been wowed by this place and told so many people about it. And we love the owners too! But we will not be spending our money there anymore - unfortunately!

"TreasureTwo thumbs up sushi !!.
Come once in the Hudson Restaurant week force me to come again in this place. Well, I came because I saw their review and they on the restaurant week list. It's fantastic. The dish is so tasty, the sushi is so fresh. Of course I will come back even 15 minutes drive from my home. Only the think, I got confuse with their location; in the far away from the city, far from anywhere except from Hudson river, second floor, the stair look like the stair of Bronx apartment.
I feel I found "treasure" sushi place.
