What People Are Saying About Room Service

In Short – Hotel room doors sporadically appear throughout the racy design that includes red leather headboards, purple pod seats and a crystal chandelier. Locals chat at the bar, while in the back a few tables house quiet conversation. Menu ranges from authentic pad thai encased by an eggy omelet to the more modern seared duck glazed with an espresso sauce. Brunch offerings include the unusual American fried rice, a mixture of tomato sauce, sunny-side eggs, sausage, ham, raisins and scallions.
Editor's Tips
- The Extras:
- Happy hour runs from 5pm to 7pm with half-off cocktails (they normally range from $6 to $12) and two-for-one Singha.
- Delivery:
- Delivery is available North to 30th St, South to W 4th St and from 4th to 11th Ave.
- What to Drink:
- Seductive cocktails continue the hotel-room theme. Satin Sheet combines sweet passion fruit juice and tart lime with rum, vodka and triple sec, while the creamy Chocolates on Your Pillow is a mix of orange juice, creme de cacao, Frangelico and vanilla vodka.

The location, decor, and price make this one of favorite restaurants in NYC. All the food is excellent, portion size is great, and they even have a $7 lunch speacial that's amazing. Definitely check this place out.
Neighborhood Thai Restaurant

I used to order "Room Service" for lunch all the time when I worked in Chelsea. That was over 1 year ago.
I returned this week for dinner with two other girlfriends of mine. I was all nostalgic about this place and couldn't wait to introduce it to my girls.
I started off with their cocoktail, "Room with a view", which is a vodka cocktail with lychee infusion. It was great. Then, I ordered the usual, pad kee mao with shrimp and my girl ordered the same dish with beef.
When the noodles came, we were both disappointed. It tasted as if the chef fell asleep while cooking so the noodles were all soggy. I felt cheated and betrayed because they used to did a much better job.
We eventually told our waiters to get a new bowl of the noodles because it was just unbearable. Fortunately, the second bowl of noodles is just right and the flavor is great.
I didn't know what happened to the first one but I was actually shocked that they screwed up two bowls. Otherwise, I would have given them 4 stars.
- Pros: Cheap lunch special
- Cons: inconsistent
Ok Place - Nothing Special
by aalfred at Citysearch
I dont know what people call "cheap". Me any my wife spent $125.00 for dinner at this place. This is not cheap. Its average. Bit of loud music which I didnt mind. Overall, I give this place an average. Would I go there again - probably not, unless it I can't find another place to try.
- Pros: Nothing to About
- Cons: Nothing Bad - Just Average
Favorite lunch spot between classes
by JacquelineFusaro , Citysearch Contributor at Citysearch
This place was the perfect lunch spot between classes at FIT. Only $6 would get me chicken pad thai and steamed veggie dumplings! The decor is cute and inviting with colorful hotel room furniture and giant chandeliers. I got hooked on this place because they serve several lychee cocktails year round, including the lychee mimosa and lychee sangria. This is a great place to take a shopping break with friends for lunch or even sunday brunch!
- Pros: Cheap thai, large portions, lychee mimosas!
- Cons: Bothered by a couple fruit flies once...
