“The service was excellent - a table wasn't immediately available, so the hostess sat us at the bar and was very attentive (as was our cute waiter).”

“Their food is super authentic and really really tasty, quick delivery and the thai ice tea tastes like it was made in thailand.”
Make Some Room for Room Service.
Inexpensive, tasty Thai in a festive, eclectic decor. Don't forget to get your photo taken in the hanging bubble chair.
We'd been coming here for a year now, and just discovered their excellent (and for the area, cheap) brunch menu. We'll be back, whether it's bringing friends, out-of-towners or ordering in.
Tasty Thai-inspired Dishes, Served Lacadaisically. Four members of Meetup's Thrifty Gourmets and I field-tested Room Service on Tuesday, June 26th. None of the employees pursuing various tasks in the restaurant was clearly performing the role of host or greeter. The individual who welcomed our party did so lackadaisically. We were seated promptly at an attractively set table. Our waiter did not introduce himself or recommend any of Room Service's dishes. I observed him roll his eyes when a fellow diner needed some guidance regarding the menu. Our appetizers arrived promptly and were quite tasty. I particularly enjoyed the summer rolls and green dumplings. Our entrees were also served quickly. They were ample and very attractively presented. The plate on which my friend's spicy noodle dish was served, for example, was lightly dusted with bright red chili powder. I thought that dish was outstanding. I also enjoyed the flavoring of my sake-accented tuna, but found the fish itself a bit tough. Although the restaurant's pounding electronica created a lively, club-like atmosphere, it was played so loud that it made conversation---even among five people sitting closely around a table---difficult. The bartender was particularly rude, snidely refusing to change a $10 bill into singles, when they were clearly available.
wrong place. wrong place for review i did not realize there is a restaurant and bar named the same my appologies.
Great Thai Food in Chelsea. Room Service offered great food for reasonable prices in Chelsea. It's a great option when you're looking for an inexpensive meal. The Crispy duck salad was especially good.
love room service.
Thank you very much for everything at NY
Your food is very delicious. The people are nice and kind.
LOVE ROOM SERVICE
Horrible customer service! Insect in my food!. I've eaten there 3 times with friends, and the dishes come out piping hot before our appetizers are even done, which leaves you to wonder whether they are just microwaving the dishes. I ordered a noodle dish and it came out super hot, but before I was even done, the noodles underneath were cold. Also the last time I was there, I was half way through my meal when I noticed an insect in my food, I called the waiter over, and he examined the dish, questioning whether it was an insect or not and I pointed out that there are wings.. and finally he agreed and asked me if I wanted another one. Excuse me, but in that kind of circumstance, he should have comped me for my meal right away instead of questioning me and asking me if I'd like another dish which I would have to pay for. Rude Customer Service! Will never go back. Go to Thai Terminal on 12 St instead - great, tasty food that is actually prepared, not just heated up!
great for vegetarians too!. What an awesome find! My boyfriend and I checked this place out and we're both vegetarian and this place has amazing vegetarian duck! We both shared everything and loved everything - the service was great, the mood was super cute and we can't wait to go again. Definitely try it - don't hesitate even if you're not a veg the food looks fantastic!
Good Cheap Thai Food. Well a few reviewers went a little far in saying it was a trendy, luxurious place. While Room Service is definitely not your typical hole-in-the-wall Thai place, I also wouldn't say it's necessarily worth going out of the way for. The decor tries to be trendy, but it is obviously pretty cheap. I guess it's all relative to the menu prices. Since I live around the corner, I eat or order delivery from there about once a week. The food is great, and their drinks are pretty good too (but also pretty weak). I love their green vegetable dumplings, lard nah, fried rice, pad see ew, etc. I ordered the squid ink pasta once, which wasn't so good, so I generally stay away from their "fancier" entrees. And the Room Service Eggs Benedict for brunch is my fav (besides the prob 500+ calories). So if you're in the area, looking for a casual cheap dinner, then go here.. but I wouldn't recommend this as an "occasion" restaurant. Oh, and one more note on service.. one time, the waitress kicked us out of our table immediately after we had finished eating, even though we were still finishing our drinks.. but I don't hold it against them.. you can only expect so much from an establishment like this.
Great Chelsea Thai. Have gone here several times. Service is either really great or just ok- never bad. I've never had anything off the menu that I didn't like- they really excel at their appetizers, which go great with their happy hour special (2 for beers, half price drinks).
complete morons work there. they cannot figure out how to use the telephone to call your order upstairs. it has now been 1 hour and 30 minutes since i orderd chicken pad thai from a place that is 5 blocks away. i highly suggest you find a different thai food spot. happy hunting!
