I'll be back!

I've thrown parties here, went to parties here hung out after work here and had lunch here. The drinks are cold. The food is great and the staff is always friendly. It's a fun place to hang out and a great place to eat. Best french fries in the city. Look it up!

ok just a quick address to the guy below...do you realize you are complaining when you paid ONE DOLLAR? like im pretty sure unless a bouncer punched you in the face (assuming you didn't deserve it) you dont get to complain when you out of pocket cost is not even enough to buy you a pack of orbit gum

moving on, i simply love the place. life may have gotten really busy and i dont go there nearly as much as I used to or as much as Id like to but it still holds a fond place in my heart. Drinks are always poured to perfection and you cant really beat a 2-6 , 2 for 1 happy hour. (At least not anywhere when the crowd is above 19) . Go there enough and you will be treated like family. A must -see if you work/are ever in midtown. Best low-key / not pretentious roof-top in town

Will NOT Return

Bought the $1 dollar special off of living social. Its funny because the whole point of teaming up with living social is to promote the restaurant but this experience made me NEVER want to return. The service was extremely poor and slow, water was never refilled, every table was waiting for their food 45min to and hour or more, and worst of all NO ONE was apologetic at all. Its understood that they were busy but at least show some remorse for your hungry customers.

I would NOT recommend coming back here.

Great place - BEST FUNDRAISING BAR IN TOWN!

I have been to Overlook a few times over the past couple years - mostly for Mizzou alumni games - and have always enjoyed this place. Unpretentious, good food, love the outdoor patio. But where the real gem of this place is in WORKING with Overlook. I recently conducted a fundraiser at this establishment - and I could not have been happier with my entire experience at Overlook. Start to finish. First, I worked directly with the owner to work out all the details. I was ambitious and wanted to do a lot of different tactics to generate money, and he was on board for all of them - even suggesting items for our silent auction that he knew our regulars would bid on and generate more cash for us. Secondly, the entire staff from bartenders to staff managers to DJ to doorman were friendly and accommodating on the actual night of the event itself. If we needed something, they were made themselves available, even though the place was packed. I felt like it was true partnership and I will do ALL my charity work at this place in the future. Thanks Overlook!

favorite midtown bar

I came here when a friend threw a private party and had an amazing time. Service was top notch and food was out of this world. I came back last weekend for after work drinks during happy hour. Amazing specials. Highly recommended.
