My table and I waited over 30 minutes to get served...the staff at Chef Yu really needs to get a clue.

I am Chinese who went to Chef Yu with a bunch of caucasian friends. We past by the place and thought it looked promising and priced reasonably. We ordered Mai Tai, and it was great! However, that was pricey...$9 (Aug 2008). I had the whole fish in hot bean sauce. It was below my expectation. The fish wasn't fresh and it taste like it had been fried a few days before. The sauce was alright but since the fish wasn't fresh, I didn't particularly enjoy it. My friends separately ordered slices of beef in oyster sauce and slices of beef with green peppers. The former seems alright and my friend enjoyed it but the latter had a disproportionate amount of tofu in it. There was hardly any beef! Anyhow, this place has a good atmosphere and we enjoyed the cosy background ambience that complimented the conversation. However, I wouldn't come here for the cuisine alone.

This is a good place to go in a pinch for a quick business meeting or after work drinks. However, some of the staff at this spot have the worst attitudes I have ever encountered. They can be very nasty for no reason at all. They greet you so rudely and act as if they are doing you a favor for allowing you to eat in their establishment. I mean if you can ignore that, it?s a cool place. The food is pretty good and the prices are too.
