In Short – Mixers churn vats of dark, white and milk chocolate in this whimsical cocoa palace. The bar dispense habit-forming hot and cold drinks like dark chocolate granita or the Chockie, a thick chocolate milkshake with a peanut base. The restaurant offers everything from dip-and-roll-your-own popsicles to three varieties of warm chocolate soup topped with marshmallows and strawberries. Savory crepes, waffles, salads and sandwiches pad bellies so as not to ruin chocolate dinners.

I first went to Max Brenner's in Israel. I think I had so many sweets that I thought I was going to throwup! The plan was to eat lunch there and then go to the beach- that changed quickly when I realized I would probably be harpooned upon setting foot onto the sand!
When I got home from Israel, I immediately looked on the Max Brenner's website to find out what other locations they had. I was so happy when I found that they had restaurants in NY!!! Needless to say, I've been to them multiple times since then!
My favorite dessert, which they have since done away with, was called the Chocolate Mess. Like it's title suggests, it's a mess of chocolate cake, icecream, whipped cream, sprinkles, little pieces of chocolate, etc, etc.
Their chocolate is amazing and I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone! I'm sure kids would get a kick out of the place (pipes over your head with chocolate, big mixers with melted chocolate, huge chocolate bars everywhere!)
- Pros: Amazing Desserts, Decent Food
- Cons: Loud, Busy, Expensive
Still better chocolate places in the city
