“The setting was very romantic wit.”
“absolutely love this place because chocolate is my weakness.”
“Wall-to-wall crowd, no reservations available, HORRIBLY SLOW SERVICE, expensive, don't buy cocktails - they have no alcohol, not even a taste, you'll end up spending $12 for a cold chocolate in a martini glass.”
“had a burger and he had a quesedilla, both very good and very filling.”
“The main menu has everything a normal restaurant would have from salads to savory french crepes.”
“If you want a coffee and a good dessert, I say go to the starbucks or ukrainian place on the other corners of the street.”
“We will definitely be back and will bring relatives, friends and turn others on to this great resteraunt.”
“so great food but depressing staff”
“The deserts are actually decent, but the portions are SO small!”
“The evening was terrible to begin when the hostess with long brown hair was completely rude about seating us.”
To be honest, I kind of hate Max Brenner New York. But if you have kids, you probably need to go there. Everything in the place is made of chocolate; there's even a chocolate pizza. It's not the best chocolate you'll ever have, but you'll never find so many forms under one roof.
Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate!.
I have made a youtube review video of this place. It wont let me post it here but you can check it on my youtube channel: Rinabrazil88
Or on my Blog:

But below are few of my thoughts on this restaurant:
Do you like/love chocolate????
Because if you do you are going to LOVE this place! The name kind of says it all- "Max Brenner Chocolate" restaurant.
Their menu is great and very innovative. They have incorporated chocolate in foods that you normally wouldn't think of- such as Chocolate pizza and chocolate dusted fries- but everything is AMAZING!
The staff was also super friendly. They gave us suggestions about their favorite dishes and they were extremely nice when we asked to shoot inside of the restaurant. If you are a chocolate lover you MUST go to Max Brenner Chocolate restaurant, you are going to feel like you are in the movie "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"!

Horrible experience. My worst experience at a New York restaurant. I have been to Max Brenner twice. The first time we were greeted by some not so friendly or interested hostesses. That was fine, we only had to put up with that for a short while. Once we were seated, we ordered, enjoyed the food and waited the usual 10 minutes for the waiter to even look in our direction so we could pay. Our second experience was not so delightful. Same snobby hostesses who were tolerable, nothing new. The waiter, Matthew, was initially very attentive and friendly. We were very impressed. Unfortunately once we received our food, which was very quick, the small flame which was prepared gradually grew into a large flame and one of my friends got burnt and knocked over hot syrup onto another friend. There was a big crash which turned into a mess. Not a single waiter or waitress bothered coming to see if everything was okay. Other patrons nearby kindly gave us their napkins and asked if everything was okay. We waited 15 minutes while our waiter flirted with the waitresses and every other waiter blindly ignored us as we tried to hail one down to get the bill and leave. Eventually we had had enough and went to the hostess to request our bill. She was just as warm as when we first arrived.... we waited another 10 minutes while another waiter tried to locate our waiter before we could settle. We will never return to Max Brenner. It is a lovely place, but not worth dealing with such incompetent or inconsiderate staff.
Chocolate!.
It's absolutely delicious! It's kind of expensive, but I'd say, why not indulge a little once in a while? haha. The place was like a chocolate factory, which is probably obvious given it's known for its chocolates XD
It's great and addicting! Definitely give it a go!
OBSESSED WITH THE COOKIE SHAKE!. Got out of work early yesterday and was totally craving chocolate. No better place than Max Brenner. Such a fun atmosphere where everyone is happy for the obvious reason: they are eating chocolate. So I thought that it would be fairly quiet at 5:15 given that it is the summer time, but I was totally wrong. The place was jammed packed. I was expecting all dessert options, but was surprised to see that they have a fairly large menu. I ordered the veggie conscious burger with mushrooms and was pleasantly surprised. The waffle fries were awesome, they were dusted in chili powder and what looked like chocolate powder. So yummy. I had the Cookie Shake and all I can say is OMG! That was the highlight of my day. I finished up my meal with a chocolate cookie. I couldn't resist it. Not too adventurous yesterday, but totally satiated.
Imagine dying and going to Chocolate Heavan. Me and my friends went NUTS they had chocolate covered in chocolate smothered in chocolate and then dipped in chocolate sprinkled with chocolate and on the side. CHOCOLATE. I had a freaking chocolate martini. How do you make alcohol with chocolate? That's nuts.
Savory foods ok, dessert heaven. The place was packed for dinner last night. We were seated on the upper level. Tables were more cramped up there and it was definitely warmer up the second level. Too warm, at times. I ordered the pasta la mancha, which had a spicey kick to it. To drink, I tried the butterscotch milk shake in the Alice cup (too sweet). A friend and I split the classic European fondue. It wasn't a lot of food but it was definitely filling. I would go back again. Hopefully, we don't get seated upstairs!
Good food, mediocre service.
The place was so hyped up that I had to drop by while I was in Union Square. On weekends, it is completely packed and you have to wait a while to be seated. Me and my husband were seated at a small booth that could hardly hold two plates! But perhaps this was because of the rush hour schedule.
The regular food was good, notably the burger, but nothing too spectacular. The chocolate was a little bit too sweet and overwhelming for me but my husband loved it.
Overall, a satisfactory experience. Not too spectacular but still worth the while.
chocolate heaven. The wait may seem like it would be long, but it was a not that bad. CHOCOLATE HEAVEN I tell you!! Don't order anything else buy chocolate.
im in love!.
great place!!! gret food!!!
BUT
plz, give a better training to the wait stuff!!! in half an hour i was sitting there, 5 diff people came to me asking the same thing + i noticed how they were lookng at each other, cause they didn't know whose table it was and who is suppose to be a server......
anyways
