“My only is having two of those swimming pool size size martinis, and theshrimp coctails were outstanding in quantity and quality the bar was full had to wait an hour and half to get in but well worth it, by far the best steak i had ever had perfect for a ”
“Quality of food was excellent.”
“The filet mignon is tender and juicy and the wines as most nice restaurants have a decent selection.”
“would go there again if I am in a mood for good steaks or even fish!”
“Service was both friendly and attentive.”
“It was one of the best deals in town.”
A lot of hype surrounding this place.. A lot of hype surrounding this place. It was OK, but for the price I'd expect more. Porterhouse was good, but a little over-cooked. Sides were decent, but portion size was too small. Service was nothing to write home about.
Best steak in NYC!. I went here for the first time last week when my parents were in town. I definitely recommend the porterhouse steak for 2-3. The sides were good, but not all that large. You might have to order a few in order to have enough to go around. I have also been to Peter Luger, and I'd say the steak here is very comparable. Obviously the price is high, around $80/100 per person.
Depresses me that dining can be this bad.
Had a celebration with a bunch of friends. This place is like a carnival. Loud, rude, and classless. The waiters are extremely unprofessional, literally THROWING things onto the table. I sat in awe, wondering what sort of logic could validate this restaurant's existence.
As for food: Appetizers were plain, nothing special. Their steaks, I could tell was good aged meat, but was burnt (not seared/broiled, but really burnt), plate thrown on the table with grease splattering onto the table, and slabs of meat from the porter house was hastily tossed onto our plates as if getting food at a cafeteria. German potato was burnt as well. This is the food of vikings and barbarians, not of modernity and gastronomical sophistication.
After ingesting all the material, I could not wait to get out of this hideous place. My experience here humiliated the very notion of dining in every way possible. Avoid at all costs and do not take chances for special occasions. There are too many better alternatives such as: left over pizzas, microwave dinners, and maybe a bag of cheetos. This place simply does not have what restaurants are made of.
NewYorks Finest. I was in the city at trump hotel i got hungry , i stopped by one day at peter lugars and ate there no respect no service, rigth from there i left whent to an alternative wolfgangs i met a guy name steve he was a gentle man he likes my music he a head waiter at wolfgangs so i left him a nice tip all thanks to the great steak and drinks my dinner there couldnt of gone better, i enjoyed everything about it nothing bad i could say , i am most definetly gonna stop by for more with out a doubt .
Unbelivable! food !. Excellent steak! Last night was my fist time to go to wolfgangs steak house and I loved it. It was ten of us and the manager gave us a round table. The food was amazing. The waiter suggested the seafood platter for appetizer and he was 100% right. There was more than enough food on that plate: lobster, shrimp, crab meat, oysters. Their steak for four was amazing, we had three steaks for four, medium rare, and every steak was done perfectly. It was unbelievable how the temperature on all three steaks was the same . Their Germen Potato and cream spinach was spectacular. Mushrooms and peas and onions were very tasty. Our dinner would not be completed without the wine we had Opus One great wine. Their wine list in general was very good, it had lots of choices. We are definitely going back next week highly recommended especially for groups parties, couples even solo i highly recomend this place fro portions, pricing , service , quality, professionalsm and outstading food.
mouth watering food. We got the bacon as the appetizer, porterhouse for two, cream spinach, German fries and finally hot fudge sundae. The bacon was not the regular one you get from grocery store, it is a little thicker than the Canadian bacon and more jucier. You pair it with mozzerlla and tomato and onion and their house sauce. It was ilke heaven. The steak of course was amazing and we couldn't finish it. We packed everything to go in the wolfgangs doggy bags. Our waiter named steve the head waiter was actually pretty attentive and nice he was quiet the gentle man . the co-owner zio music was a very kind fellow who has bought my table wine on the house since of course i am there regular customer. also not to mention the irresistable filet mignon pure lean meat with jusciy creamy sauce and medillion mushrooms, to top it all off the amazing key lime pie, which was slathered with schlag .
You pay the best to get the BEST. Me and my buddys at citi group always stop by lunch time for some martinis with our friendly bartenders ralph and miki , we have thick juicy canadian bacon toped off with a marvelous martini. The bartender miki is a very down to earth educated guy who does look young for his age but shares much mutual respect towards me and my staff. The chopped steak for 3 was the amzing , hearing a few jokes here and there from our man ralph is enjoyable our lunches at tribeca are great! Even tho the manager arnie is a loud mouth he also has a great personality for a grumpy old man.
Amazing. We always lunch and dine at park ave but last friday tried this location on tribeca. Let me tell you that it's amazing! Just as great as midtown only more spacious and almost no wait at the door. The steaks are the same top steaks served as at park ave, the satff provided us with excellent expedious service.Of course we had the bacon appetizer and the tomato and onions; tobe followed by steak for the table. It's amazing how they get the steaks so sizzzzzling!!! The filet part just melts like butter in my mouth. We had german potatoes, creamed spinach and onion rings as always. Thanks Wolfgang we'll b back for more!!!!
Enjoyable upscale twist on Peter Luger. When you're in the mood for a more upscale experience than the german steakhouse feel of Luger's, this is a nice change of pace (personally, I love the Luger's atmosphere). They also accept credit cards, which Luger's does not but there's something to be said for the feel of forking over a few hundred in cash.
Highly Recommend.
Everything about the visit here was top notch. From exceptional service to the outstanding service.
The midtown location should take lessons on how to do it right. Hard to believe it is the same.
AN OUTSTANDING DINING EXPERIENCE
STAY AWAY FROM THE MIDTOWN LOCATION -
IT IS A MESS
