AMAZING TALENT!!. I recently went to David for my haircut and he truly is an amazing person with an eye for style that meets your individual needs. This is the third time David has cut my hair and each time, I have left feeling glamorous and it ALWAYS grows out great. I have wavy hair and David provided me a style that looks good if I'm on the run and also something I could style for a special function. David is real, sincere, and genuine and he desires to build relationships so he can give you a style that best suits your personality and hair needs. The salon is small but don't be fooled. The service is wonderful and the products they use - Sexy Hair products - are great. i feel lucky to have discovered David.

Walked away looking worse than when I walked in. I tried out this Gina Le salon for the 1st time this week because of a promotion on Lifebooker where the haircut was $63, instead of $85. I figured, why not? So when I walked in, the place looked nice but just it's so teeny I felt a little claustrophobic. I was really surprised when I met David (who would cut my hair) because he kind of seemed like a slob and wasn't what I had envisioned. He was just wearing a big tshirt and jeans, his hair was messy, he had lots of stubble on his face, and he kept yawning and stretching in the salon (whilst exposing his big belly while stretching) - he just didn't carry himself well. So first we talked and I described what I wanted with my hair. Unfortunately, when he was finished he cut off way more hair than I wanted and I wasn't happy with the cut at all. I just wanted to get out of there quickly, and now I have to make an appointment with my usual stylist to fix the mess he made.

Waste of money. I got a haircut here and I wholeheartedly regret it. When I left the salon I couldn't get over what a mess I thought my hair was. It just looked so bad and uneven. When I went back a few days later to complain (something I've never down before but I was just furious enough to do so), David didn't really seem to care and wasn't sympathetic even though he could see I was visibly upset and completely dissatisfied. If a customer is unhappy it is the business' responsibility to the paying customer to ensure they are happy and don't feel like they wasted their money. I will never return here.

Friendly and homey... minus one great stylist.... The atmosphere always made me feel relaxed and at home. They nursed me through a time of change, and my stylist Bette made me feel fab through it all. BIG drawback, Bette left the salon. If you also used to see her, I just tracked her down! She's now at De Berardinis 155 W 21@ 7th Ave (212) 967-0927.

Wiz with the Scissors. Gina and Bet rock--never a bad haircut!! I met Gina at hear last Salon, Gina Thomas, about 5 years ago. I tend to book haircuts at the last minute, and if Gina was not available, I would go to one of her stylists... an often disastrous mistake. Thank God those days are over. She started Gina Le in an even better location, and hired Bet, who is truly a wizard with the scissors. Gina has such a loyal following that I?ve been going to Bet solely for about a year and a half now. I get compliments on my hair everywhere I go?even on the subway and bus. They?re not the cheapest haircut in town, but you get what you pay for and more.

Gina Rocks!. I've known Gina for just about as long as anyone since I moved to NYC about 10 years ago and she's been taking care of my hair ever since. An equally skilled stylist and conversationalist, she's always able to make me look great...and make sure we have fun doing it. What I always tell my friends is to consider half of the cost an "entertainment fee." : ) Run to Gina now...you'll thank me for it!

Great for my hair!. I've been going to Gina for more than 50% of my haircuts for the past 4 years. I always leave with a great looking haircut. The amazing part is that it always grows out even better. She does what you want and in some of my cases, when I give her freedom to take my idea and make it better, she always does.
