“but then I found a huge chunk of eggshell in my omelet.”
Horrible place.. Robbery in my opinion. Told the hispanic woman behind the counter to take one sandwich off the order after it came out to $39.00 for 3 sandwiches and a can of sprite. She then starts rolling her eyes, sighing, etc... until the bill comes out to be $26.00 for 2 sandwiches and a can of sprite. Well, at $9.95 a sandwich and $2.00 per can, neither of those numbers add up. Needless to say, I stupidly paid for the food, and asked for a receipt. This was obviously too much work also. They don't give anyone receipts (not surprising considering they're practically stealing from people) and it took almost 10 mins for someone to write out a receipt and calculate everything, only to find the hispanic woman had added on 3 dollars to our order, along with all other customers' orders. The woman at the counter was charging people any old number and welcoming customers with "What do you want?" in broken english. VERY unprofessional. After she throws down the 3 dollars she overcharged us onto the counter and tells us to move (very rudely once again), we sit down and eat the average sandwich which I would not have paid 6 dollars for, never mind 10. The food isn't even worth commenting on. Please, take my advice and STAY AWAY from this place.

Horrible Service - Steer Clear. This is arguably the worst lunch place in lower Manhattan. They mess up orders left and right. Their delivery people barely speak English and give orders to the wrong people. Forget getting anywhere with the Manager - he is rude and will never admit fault for anything. There are SO many better choices out there!
Overpriced and you too will be ignored!. I live in Delaware and I was visiting the city for a few hours after a wedding the night before. Of course we stopped to see Ground Zero and decided to have breakfast afterwards. This cafe was right around the corner and seemed to have variety. Omelets, simple enough, right? No! they were tasteless! no seasoning at all! Okay, no problem some folks have to watch their salts...but then I found a huge chunk of eggshell in my omelet. Okay, everyone breaks a little shell. No! It was the size of a quarter and little bits throughout! I tried to eat around it, but after the third time biting into shell I was disgusted! We had no complaints about the other meals, but for the PRICE! (almost $10 per person), it was not worth it. When I complained about my omelet and They informed me that I had eaten too much of the omelet. I suggested they take off the cost of the omelet (and only the omelet), they refused. They never apologized, they never offered me anything else until the manager, who had to be pulled over to speak to me offered me another omelet. I first declined, but then thought, I could give it to someone hungry on the street or something. So I accepted and after offering me another omelet, nothing. The manager didn't respond. He had no intention of making this right. I asked for his name, he ignored me. I asked again, he pretended not to understand me. I couldn't believe I had given them a tip! I never became rude or loud or used profanity. I remained calm and polite, but spoke up and he ignored me. I was disgusted with New York for the rest of the day. I was glad to see the Holland Tunnel.
