Upper end prices, bargain basement service. Their prices aren't the top of the market, but they're definitely upper-end. Yet the service is horrendous. Be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait. Six weeks turned into six months for me. Excuse after excuse (fabric sent on a boat instead of plane, upholsterer took Fridays off in summer) and they never follow up - I had to call and call to get any response - very frustrating and stressful experience. Quality was good but you can get good quality with far better service. I won't be back.

frustrating experience. working with this business is incredibly frustrating. although their work is good they are completely unprofessional and horrendous at getting back to you - even when there is a crucial deadline. Their delivery dates are completely unrealistic and when it comes time to deliver on their word the owner is completely unresponsive. This is not a place i enjoyed doing business with at all.

Great shop for sheets and curtains. I usually buy all my linens from ABC or Bergdorf but I stumbled into Rafael's on my back from lunch. There selection of linens has to be the best in the city. Everything is on display and you can feel and touch everything. I picked up a set of Sferra Giza sheets and they are amazing! They are also in the process of making me a motorized roman shade, cant wait to see how it comes out! GREAT FIND

Great service, custom motorized shades/curtains. I just moved to NYC from LA and purchased a glass condo on the west side highway. I asked my real estate broker who to call for curtains and shades and he refered me to Rafael. I met their representive at my apartment with samples and 3 weeks later I could not be happier. I purchased motorized solar shades, curtains and window shutters. All in all i could nothave been happier . This was probably one of the easiest experiances I've had compared the rest of the headaches involved with moving! Thanks Rafael!

Cool store. Picked up a really nice down comforter here last week. They also had some cool bedding that I plan on buying when I can afford it :)

Been a customer for years... I first found Rafael when they were on Broadway and have followed them for around ten years. I buy all my linens from them and have been very satisfied. They have also worked with my interior designer and architect making me curtains and motorized shades for my homes in Greenwich and Miami. Highly recommended.

A pleasure to deal with, top of the line !. moving into my new apartment was a traumatic experience But thank god I found Rafael! I was referred to them through a friend at Elle Decor and couldn't be happier. They met me at my apartment during construction and worked with my contractor to make sure everything would be perfect. My motorized hades and drapes look and function amazingly. Definitely go with the quiet motor options and go with lined and interlined for the curtains. My home will be featured in Elle Decor in a few months, thanks for your help Rafael!

Worst business - stay away!. Our experience working with Rafael Decorators, and Joey in particular, was beyond horrible. I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy. We chose Rafael because we were looking for something very custom and special. We received the worst customer service, the nastiest attitude and one lie after another. Their prices are extremely high and you do not get what you pay for. The delivery was a nightmare and the final product left much to be desired. From start to finish it was simply awful. If we hadn't put down such a large deposit we would have switched companies in a heartbeat but sadly we were stuck working with them. Stay away!!!

New Location is fabulous. Rafael's new store on 19th is a breath of fresh air. They just moved into the old Revolution bookstore and after an extensive gut renovation, the place looks so chic! Iron fixtures hang from the original tin ceilings..gorgeous bed linens flank the cabinets. They also have an amazing fabric selection. A must shop in flatiron/union square.
