Outstanding doctor. Dr. Liakeas and his staff are without exception a tremendous asset to our family. We still commute over 100 miles round trip for a visit as we cannot find remotely comparable care in our area. He routinely follows up with us after a visit just to make sure we're doing well and his staff attends to all of the relevant insurance paperwork flawlessly. I highly recommend Dr. Liakeas not only for the exceptional quality of healthcare, but also because he genuinely cares about his patients personally.

Dr. Liakeas and his staff are professionals that LISTEN, a true find! I've been a patient for 10+ years. Whether it be an annoying cold or something that's cause for concern, he can be counted on to provide the care required.

Highly Recommended. I'm writing because of my recent experience with the staff. I've been going to this office for awhile and recently had to request multiple referrals for tests&specialists w/in a short time frame. They were very responsive & quickly unraveled the sticky red tape my insurance company presented. With health concerns to deal with, it was a relief to not have to stress over this too. As anyone knows, resolving these issues is no easy task. It was nice to have an advocate on my side.

Best Docs in NYC!. The most caring, skilled group of doctor's that I've ever come across. Been there for everything, from thyroid to sinus infections. They're always so caring, they actually call you to follow up, it's like having really smart, old time country doctors, right in the middle of Manhattan. I highly recommend this.

A great find!. Staff was very nice and helpful with appointments, insurance, referrals etc. Dr Liakeas was personable, informative and took the time to listen. Not to mention a good sense of humor. Wait time was minimal.

Since you can't tip a doc, I had to rate him. Dr. Liakeas and his entire staff/office - amazing! I've been there for everything from strep throat to tendonitis to a broken toe with a massive hematoma, and have always left feeling "healed." The staff is friendly and very accommodating, especially when it come to scheduling last-minute, end of the day appointments. I've seen by both him and/or Dr. Grady at least 5 or 6 times in the past year (blame it on working in a school and running a marathon), and they always follow-up via email, no matter how big or small the issue. They also helped me navigate my shitty insurance in order to make sure things were covered. Also, Dr. Ian at the affiliated physical therapy office across the hall is also fantastic! Can't say enough about these wonderful docs - they make me feel like I'm at a small-town family practice.

Best Experience I Had in a Long Time. I went to Dr. Liakeas after seeing many doctors around the city who were just not right for me. I was referred by a friend who has been along time patient here. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I first saw the PA there, Dr. Grady, who took the time to listen to everything I said. (I was told on the phone that since the office is so busy, I would either see Dr. Liakeas or the Physician's Assistant.) Once I was done, Dr Liakeas even made it a point to stop in and introduce himself to me and see how everything went.

Overall, it was a great experience and I will be definitely coming back

Just what I was looking for!. I went here for my first physical in NYC, and after having an unsatisfactory and rushed first dental exam elsewhere I was worried that all medical offices were gong to be NYC paced. Not here though. Everyone was incredibly nice and mellow - it was like getting off the elevator beamed you to another place. They listened and responded to every single one of my questions to my complete satisfaction. They even referred me to a better dentist. Couldn't really have been better.

One of the things I miss most about NYC. I really miss being treated by Dr. Liakeas, a/k/a "Dr. George." Not to get all New Age on you or anything, but Dr. George is just one of those people who was born to be a doctor. He's also one of those people who has memorized every detail of every Seinfeld episode. (OK, OK... this is just a fringe benefit.)

Scheduling appointments was a breeze. Office staff were EXCEPTIONAL: They went the extra mile to get my insurance to cover as much as possible, instead of shifting the responsibility for navigating that huge system to me. When I was a starving grad student, one staff member gave me a pair of tickets to a Devils game he couldn't attend. How's that for service?

Dr. George has a New Yorker's sense of humor. I came in with a little situational depression; he jokingly asked if I wanted to hug it out before going into "the doctor questions." That reached into the depths of my self-pity, and made me laugh out loud.

His office environment is extremely pleasant. He's a doting father and husband. He can deftly handle Upper East Side "entitlement syndrome." He gives out his AIM name for "less-than-ER-situations." He's doesn't shy away from being contacted at odd hours, explaining that he doesn't sleep much. (Don't be alarmed: He has a lot of energy, and he's always 110% alert.)

It was great to see Dr. George mentoring and supervising med students. He just seems to have a deep understanding of how his professional opinions should interface with a patient's own attitudes and preferences. Oddly enough, watching him navigate this interface may have taught me more about professionalism than I ever learned in law school.

(Dr. George, if you're reading, please don't back-bill me for this. You *know* my insurance won't cover it.)
