Pretty as a picture. I have been bringing my dog here since they opened. He always comes out looking like a star. The premises are clean, the staff is lovely. I like that I can look in the window and see what's going on in the back.

Excellent groomers! Very happy with this place!. Joanne grooms my dog and she always does an excellent job. The staff is kind, caring, and they obviously care about the animals who come in. Been going here for years and the quality is always top notch.

Everyone I have ever sent here has thanked me. Kudos to this place!

Also a great place to buy dog supplies of every sort--from treats to food to leashes to beds.

Best groomers I have ever gone to in the city. My dog has been going to this shop for years and he always comes home with great haircuts. He is always treated very well and he is quite comfortable with the groomers there. In fact, he is even happy to see them.

My instructions are always carefully considered and followed. Frankly, a few times I was in a rush and I did not give the clearest direction and even then, the groomer "got it" and my dog looked great. Both my dog and I have always been treated respectfully here by all of the staff.

One of the reviews below is totally unfair. Someone complains about their dog being cut at another groomer and puts THAT in the headline for this place? Inaccurate and completely unfair.

I've had dogs for over thirty years now and I am very picky about who handles my pets. I trust this place to do a great job and they always have.

Terrible cut, don't listen. I've tried this groomer several times over the past few years, and although not thrilled with the cuts, decided to give it another try because the Tomy Magueri groomer in the area closed it's store. Alas, it was worse than ever. Not only did they not listen to or write down ANY of the requested cut changes we provided when we dropped him off, they made my poor small dog look outright silly with uneven hair lengths in multiple places. It is literally the worst grooming my dog has ever had and will take months to to get normal again. I do not recommend anyone frequent this place.

Bailey's Bleeding Belly. I called up the shop and told them my dog's a bit fussy and traumatized from a groomer that sliced open his belly. He was left with three staples and was on antibiotics for a week. They assured me that the groomer "specialized" in timid dogs. I was more nervous than my poor pup (a 1.5 yo Havanese). I do maintenance in between cuts myself, like brushing his teeth, clipping his nails, baths, trims, you name it! Some stuff should be left to professionals. I know how fussy he could be at times, but groomers have to know how to deal with fussy dogs, that's what they get paid to do! Anyways, dropped him off and he ended up with bleeding w/a scab by the time I brought him home. Granted, I should've checked him before leaving but I just wanted to bring him home. I called them up and at first denied even GROOMING him, then after several long pauses remembers but didn't recall cutting him. Even after telling her specifically what happened last time, she ended up cutting him right on top of the scar left by the previous groomer.

The best grooming place in the city! Wonderful experience!. I am thrilled with this place. Joanne is one of the best groomers you will ever meet. She is fast, kind, thorough, and your dog will like her. She listens to what you want and do it. My dog looks like a milliion bucks every time I pick him up. Go! You will not be sorry. I LOVE this place and my dog loves it even more.

Hands down, the best in the city!. The place is great. Joanne is the best groomer I've ever seen in my 21 years of owning dogs. My dog adores her (he's bitten all the others). You can imagine how I felt when my last groomer asked me not to come back because my dog was a groomers nightmare. I went to Joanne and she said he was great. The second time I went there, they had a framed picture of him on the wall. He looks like a prince when he leaves there.

Wonderful and caring service. We have taken our dog to Downtown Doghouse for years. They treat our puo as if he were their own. They listen and even offer suggestions on how to best groom your dog. I have run into the owner many times on the street. She always stops to say hello and give our dog some love. This is a wonderful grooming facility, and a fun store, too.

Great groomers and wonderful merchandise!. Without a doubt, this is one of the best grooming places I have ever used. The groomers really listen to your grooming requests and directions. Your dog is treated very kindly and humanely. My dog actaully likes to go there! And, frankly, he can be a handful to groom and he has had less than wonderful experiences at other places. My older dogs benefit from the Hydrosurge treatment. Everyone I have ever sent to this place thanks me!

And, you can also shop for cute collars, leashes, beds, sweaters, and coats here too. They also sell treats , supplements, and food, too.

Again, I cannot recommend this place enough! Your dog will thank you too!!!
