The Best Authentic Vietnamese Food ever have
by HaoLongBay
I have been to Vietnam and tried to find an authentic Vietnamese food in the city. Nam Son is the winner! It's authentic, just the same as what I have in Vietnam. Besides, the price is cheap and the portion is big!
"No.1 Pho" (noodle soup with beef) is large size and good value; "Curry Chicken with bread" (can substitute with rice) uses coconut milk which makes it tasty. "Shrimp Roll" is light and tasty.
The service is fast and good. I have spoken to a waiter who is Chinese-Vietnamese and gotten to know that the owner, chef and waiters are all Vietnamese. My theory of picking a "non-for tourist" restaurant is to observe if most customers are local. :)
Yum!
- Pros: Authentic, Big Portion, Cheap, Good serve
- Cons: None
Killer PHO!
by jtby1217
This is the best pho place i have been to in chinatown. for just under $6, you can get the extra large pho with everything, its so big that i can barely finish it alone! The soup base of the pho alone is worth all the money. Best when shared along with the summer roll or spring rolls. the pork chop over rice is also very delicious! i also recommend the curry chicken or the papaya salad. service is also extremely fast . this is definitely the place to go for traditional vietnamese food!
- Pros: food, get the most for your buck
- Cons: they need a new ceiling
