September Wines & Spirits is an eclectic boutique specializing in small-production, earth-friendly wines from around the world. We support smaller, family-run vineyards where tremendous care, attention, and generations of pride go into the winemaking. This means better wine and better values than mass-produced brands, since you're not paying for big marketing campaigns.

We taste every wine before it comes into the store so you can be assured that each bottle on the shelf represents a very high quality to price ratio.

At September Wines, we feel that the best way to learn about wine is with a wine glass not a textbook. So, we do free tastings every Thur - Sat (Th/F 6-9p Sat 5-8p).Though primarily a wine shop, we also carry a wide selection of spirits with a focus on Vodkas & Whiskeys. We offer generous corporate discounts and we ship to most states within the U.S.

I stumbled upon September Wines while on business in the lower east side. The proprietor listened to my likes and dislikes and made some stunning recommendations, most notably a 2005 Chablis at what I considered a bargain price. After drinking it, I bought all remaining stock. September Wines is not my closest wine shop by a long stretch. However, it is worth travelling the distance for the thoughtful advice and friendly service.

Pros: knowledgable advice, unpretentious service, edgy atmosphere

Prices are extremely reasonable and the service is off-the-hook. Wouldn't shop for wine anywhere else. September Wines & Spirits...please come to Philly!!
