Beter before it was redone. I frequented Puff's before the renovations a few years back (I am proud to say I broke the ladies room sink, ty KL, lol) And it was a great place then, a real tavern feel, neighborhood bar, great and interesting locals and a place you could sit down (wow) and hear (wow) someone speak. After the renovations and new publicity it lost a lot of the old charm and gained a lot of "suits". Too bad. But I'll have my memories.

Great Party. I went to Puffys last week for a friends birthday party and had a great time.

I will definitely plan part of my birthday party there. The music was great,

the bartenders were playing Dj behind the bar and the crowd was cool.

I did not expect it to get that crazy and have such a nice crowd. We were

there somewhat early, then the place got crowded and the music got louder.

Much easier than getting into a club with a big group and the drinks are bar prices

not ridiculous club prices. Great neighborhood. Great Bar.

A nice local bar with a long history.. I have gone to puffy's for many years on and off. I have drowned my sorrows there many a night. The last time I was there the older irish sounding bartender said to me "It's time for your medicine" and I felt like the doctor was in. On a weekday night you may see some cute business type women here hanging out after work. It's usually never really crowded and sometimes on a friday or saturday night there might only be a few people in there. This bar has been used for some movies and has been in the same spot for close to 60 plus years. The bar was renovated somewhat in the past few years. It's a quiet neighberhood bar and the bartenders are friendly. They have some interesting beers on tap but i'm not a fan of many of them. If you like to have your medicine in a not too loud setting that isn't full of yuppies talking too loud about their christmas bonuses this is your spot. Take your medicine like a good little boy or girl and you'll be fine.

good times@Puffys. I love puffys. I had been there a couple times in the past just grabbing a drink after

dinner in the neighborhood(a bunch of great restaraunts in Tribeca). I went to a friend

of a friends birthday a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. We decided to check

it out saturday night and had a blast. They were playing alot of 80's music and everyone

was singing and dancing. The place had a great vibe. The bartenders seemed very fun

and friendly. As far as the drinks, I enjoyed mine and they gave us a round of shots that were

great. If you want to go out downtown and want a fun bar, I recommend Puffys. I also recommend

Bubbys down the street for brunch the next afternoon.

Most Laid-Back Place In Town!. I love this place! It's the only laid-back place in the neighborhood where you can watch the football games early during the day, while accompanied by good conversations. I could probably go into this bar by myself and feel at home. The cute bartender who's name was Sabrina, was quick to pour a drink, tentative, and had a GREAT personality!!!

I wasn't sure if they'd be open since their hours say 4pm, but I guess they're open at 1pm on the weekends for the football games. Good beer variety, atmosphere is laid-back, and the bartender is awesome. What more could you ask for? I will definitely start making this my regular spot!

Where Everybody Knows Your Name. So for the last two weekends I've gone to Puffy's on a Saturday night, and the place is so much fun. I love the whole vibe there, it's very relaxed. If your into stuffy bars and expensive drinks this is not the place for you. Drinks are actually affordable, and the bartender Charlie is really cool. If I lived down there I would prob be there everynight.

Fun Times 20!!!. Puffy's is an awesome place when you want to go out with friends and be able to hang out and chat over a few beers and some pizza. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood to go to a big club with loud music and flashing light so instead I go to Puffy's. It does get really busy in there some nights but the crowd is always extremely friendly and I really do feel like I make at least one new friend everytime I go. They also have fun specialty nights!! I was there last Tuesday and the bartender had brought in salami and was cutting it up and serving it to everyone at the bar who wanted to try some. Everyone was calling it "Salami Tuesday" and I think it might become a weekly thing. =) Its things like that which sets Puffy's above the rest.

The Coolest Bar in town!!. Puffy'sTavern is def like home away from home! After a long day at work,its great to know that even in NYC there is a place where everyone knows you name :) Not only is the service great! The bartenders are the best around!Nothing beats great conversation,good friends and a ice cold beer! Trust me! If you know whats good for ya,get to Puffy's ASAP!! Its coolest bar in town ;)

there for the last 4 weekends and have had a blast every time. between watching games on the big

screen, playing darts, and eating frozen pizzas i cant understand how you could go wrong. ANYONE WHO LIKES BARS SHOULD HAVE A DRINK AT PUFFY'S

This place SUX!. The drinks are WATERED DOWN, the bartenders are RUDE, and they take FOREVER to make a drink! I have NEVER been treated so poorly by bartenders and would NEVER go back - EVER! I would have given them NO stars if that was possible! Puffy can GFH!
