Bustle done wrong and little attempt to help
by kjk0503
I paid close to $5000 all-in for my bridal gown, veil, necklace, and alterations. The products are beautiful. But, they did my bustle wrong, and it was a $500 charge just for that. I later learned they did not show me what they should have in the fitting (perhaps deliberate oversight??) so I didn't realize what was wrong until I had shipped it to my wedding in Michigan where they have no stores. We realized 4 days in advance and when we called, the manager Eliana was borderline rude and I felt like she was not even listening. This was a big stress we did not need so close to the wedding. If you like P of B I would look for their dresses at other shops.
- Pros: some beautiful dresses
- Cons: alterations, service
BEWARE! YOU WILL NEED ALTERATIONS.

My experience purchasing a bridesmaid gown was absolutely dreadful, from beginning to end. The staff is horrible, inattentive, and downright rude. They know you HAVE to purchase the dress your bride chooses, so why bother trying to make the sale a pleasant experience? I am plus-sized, and as all of us girls know, NONE of these stores have any samples in our size to try. I was measured intentionally loosely, over my clothes, and when I pointed this out, I was told not to worry. The dress came in 3 months later, 3 sizes too big, of course intentionally done so that would have to alter it. When I raised a complaint, the manager re-measured me with an audience, and suggested that I "don't have to get the alterations done here." Thanks, for the permission. I did find a great local alterations place downtown, which was able to salvage the dress for a great price, but I still had to put another $80 into a $300 dress. Insanity. And my slimmer friends are in the same situation, as well. Please, stay away!
- Pros: They have modern style bridesmaid dresses, nice colors.
- Cons: Absolutely everything else.
Run by Incompetent and Unprofessional People
by pressic
The place is nice, they have beautiful gowns but run by incompetent and unprofessional people, starting from the Manager - Irina and the rest of her staff. Nobody picks the phone, you have to call several time before you get to a live person. Because nobody picks up I found out this place is owned by Davids Bridal.
I had horrible experience from this store. First Caitlin - sale consultant (no longer working there) charged my credit card despite my instructions not to charged until I sign the credit slip. They credited me back, that was fine. I remember Caitlin quoted $500++ for alteration. but I was shocked to find out its going to cost me $925. $300 for the hem, $50 to shorten the straps really ridiculous. On top of that, I was just asking for a little bit of a break since I bought my gown, the bridesmaid dresses, and headpiece. Everyone there seamstress, asst. manager and Irina had they same arrogant attitude and I didn't even raised my voice. I just want a little bit of a break.
So my advise to all brides to be, if you like a Priscilla of Boston gown, buy it from Kleinfelds. They are professional and upfront with costs. For instance, alteration at Kleinfelds is flat fee $595.
- Pros: Beautiful gowns
- Cons: Incompetent staff
