Great Coffee, Ridiculously Priced Hot Chocolate
by scottp2 at Citysearch
The lunches have been a little inconsistent but generally tasty. Brown is a nice place to have coffee and a snack, especially weekday afternoons when it is a little slower. When busy it is pretty cramped but some might interpret that as cozy.
Beware of the hot chocolate: it is very good (not spectacular) but at $6.50 a cup (that's right, no typo here) I'd rather see them use a middle-of-the-road chocolate and price it so I might have a second cup. This was the highest priced hot chocolate I've ever had by far. I'm a bit of a chocolate freak and have traveled throughout the Netherlands and Belgium several times sampling hot chocolates and never had a cup that came even close to this in price and all were at the least as enjoyable.
Come on, Brown, $6.50 for hot chocolate?
- Pros: Coffee
- Cons: Expensive Hot Chocolate
