Dea Beauty Salon: Bravo!!!

Dea Beauty Salon gives the best hair blow-out I've ever had in New York City, and in some other cities as well. I have curly hair that tends toward frizziness, and it's very difficult to manage. Under the gifted hands of Anila, the owner of the salon, and her associates as well, my hair comes out smoothed and styled, and lasts for several days. Her prices can't be beat. I have been to many of the higher priced salons in the city, and the results don't compare to the ones I get at Dea Beauty Salon. And, then there's hair color. For years, I had spent a great deal of money on color for my brunette hair at a very well known hair salon, always ending up with reddish highlights which I didn't want. I finally asked Anila to give it a try, and voila...I got the hair color I had always wanted, and get complimented on all of the time. And, I also want to mention Margie, the manicurist. Never a hang nail, a long lasting manicure, and a lot of fun is what you get with her. The prices, the relaxed atmosphere of this lovely boutique salon. and the quality of my experience makes me return to Dea Beauty Salon again and again as I have for the last 7 years since it opened. Bravo!!!

Brazilian Blowout w Anila!

I have been researching the difference between the Brazilian blowout and the Brazilian Keratin for the past two weeks and when I called this salon Anila was kind and patient enough to describe the two and tell me the differences without rushing me off the phone. Since my hair is very thin I needed to know what would be best for me . I went today and Anila did the Brazilian Blowout just on the front and on the back so I could test it out before doing my whole head. I am very happy with the results and will definitely be making an appointment to do my entire head. I am Dominican and even though my hair is thin it is very curly, I am very content with my hair and with Anila who explained the entire process and answered my 101 questions. Hair straightening is very serious and should only be done with professionals like Anila! Thank you!!

An Adorable Find!

I found DEA Beauty Salon on my way home from a late night at the office and was dying for a blowout -- I had dinner plans in the area with my boyfriend and I really felt like treating myself to something special before our date. Let me tell you, I am so happy to have found this salon. The blowout was perfect. Anila took her time and gave me exactly what I wanted - straight, but full of body and shine. Long story short, run, don't walk.
