Great for a group

The Al Dente owner and staff went out of their way to handle our large group of all ages. They even made an entree not on the menu because my brother loves eggplant parmigana.
The complimentary bruschetta was delicious, the salads fresh and entrees very tasty. The drinks were generous with their liquor. We were too full to order dessert. The prices were reasonable for a nice Westchester restaurant. PLUS, they had parking!
In addition, we had to rush at the end to make it to a local theater, and the staff made that happen and took it in stride.
- Pros: Owner was very accommodating for our family group of 20.

service is HORRIBLE and the owner is RUDE!

I had a family party there and was treated horribly, the food was mediocre at best and the service was beyond HORRIBLE! You had to ask for things at least a dozen times and none of the plates were cleared between courses. They got all the orders confused and if you were not seating in you seat when the food was served they simply didn't serve you until you reminded them that they forgot you.
The cold antipasto was made the day before and they were unwrapping the saran wrap from the plates in the back room as they were bringing them out to the tables. The mozzarella was not fresh and there was no proscuitto as stated on the menu. The penne vodka was salty and the salad was fine, at least something was. The shrimp entree was good, but people who got steak had to send them back as they all came out rare. When I tried to speak to the owner after the party he would not give me the time of day and looked to the side when I was speaking to him. I was never treated more horribly in my life and he also charged me for two plates he claimed he served even though I did not have two extra people at the party. Oh and I found out after the party that he was charging guests for drinks when I clearly told him to run a tap that I would pay for. I was embarrassed to say the least and would never ever go back and I would never tell people to spend there money there.
