mixed review. Sibe, the stylist will tell it like it is--don't expect him to sugar coat things..if your hair looks like garbage, he will let you know. he knows how to cut, the colorist did a good job with my highlights as well. the only thing i didn't like is that he didn't even try to give me a discount even tho i was referred by a client of his, 10% off on weekends and 20% off monday thru friday...so that means discounts everyday which seems a bit odd to me. they were standing so close to me when i was counting my money, as if i was going to leave without tipping. I asked him what hair treatment was good and he kept recommending the most expensive one, 3 treatments for 218$, i asked him if there were anything cheaper and he says there are but they're useless. i feel all they want is your money but don't care to lure you back.

First time was great!. I went there after pamper me spa in queens refused to successfully straighten my hair, even though I had paid $300 and went twice. Cutting Edge has a much cooler atmosphere, great customer service and lower prices. The staff really went out of their way to accomodate me even though it was my first visit. I had the Japanese Straightening done and now my hair is smooth and straight-looks great. Also Eden (staff stylist) gave me a super cut, included with the straightening-and now everyone has commented on how gorgeous my hair looks! I would definitely recommend this place and will be going there again!

Japanese Straight Perm. My friend refered me to this salon. She told to try this place out. Well I just happen to need to tame my wild ruly hair. Edmond is one of the stylist that receptionist ( she really knew what she was talking about)recommended. He totally knew what he was talking about. I got a japanese straight perm and a hair treatment right after. My hair came out so straight and shiny. My hair never looks like this ever. Its always been a battle to tame my hair. The treatment is called 3.1. This hair treatment has made my hair so soft to touch. 200 for the japanese straight perm was down right cheap. Well I did splurge on the 120 treatment though but it was well worth it.
