Campbell's soup?
by robjosef at Citysearch
We had high hopes for this restaurant because of their 4 star average. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. While the portion size was ample, the quality of the food was not just inauthentic, but also poor. The chicken in our tikka masala was dry and had obviously been cooked long before we ordered. More troubling is our conviction that the sauce was created from Campbell's tomato soup. The saag paneer was dramatically better, but still mediocre and oily. Admittedly, the samosas were large and tasty and the naan was average, but that is not enough for us to return. You can do a LOT better.
Authentic Indian Food

I have tried lots of samosas in several places and this is by far one of the best places that has authentic samosas with original condiments. I strongly recommend it. Enjoy!
- Pros: The best samosas I have tried
- Cons: What are the drawbacks?
Friendly Customer Service, Good food, Romantic setting

I've been a patron since it was a dinky-looking restaurant years ago and the food was always good. With new management, they've renovated this place with candlelight, a wine bar, classy looking tables, all-around nice place to bring your boss, family, a date. My friends and I agree that Masala can definitely contend against Jackson Diner. I've brought a friend from the South who has never had Indian food before and he now craves their food. Great for first-timers, lucky for me or unfortunately, it's never crowded when by rights, it should be.
