Great sports Bar in East Village.
If you went to Georgetown, you should know this is the Hoya Basketball bar. If you don't, you really should feel ashamed and start coming here now!
Not only is Village Pour House always full of crowds watching sports games, but it also offters Trivia nights and other good entertainment. They have about 6 or 7 kinds of beer on tap, bottled beers and other mixed drinks. It has two separate rooms and tons of HDTVs.
In addition, this bar has pretty good quality food for a bar. their wings are good and I remember I ordered their vodka penne once and it is actually good!
I would recommend coming here for any sports games.

Passport for Beer. Ever wonder if beer from another country will taste good? Not sure what country your favorite speciality ale is from. Pick up a beer passport while at the village pourhouse and start enjoying your ride through other countries. The bartenders are pretty knowledgable about the beer that is offered and generally can guide you towards a dark lager or a sweet blueberry ale. Either way, this place can get crowded on a Sunday during football season so be prepared. I have had the best time when I go with friends after work or on a spring afternoon.

Great Food and Gluten Free Beer!. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the Village PourHouse carries Redbridge, a Gluten Free Beer. As a life long beer drinker, it was tough to be diagnosed with a Gluten Allergy, which eliminates 99% of beer from your diet. It was great to find that one of my favorite bars in the city carries a beer that I can drink. The food and service have always been great, but the gluten free beer is what will keep the pourhouse my bar of choice.

Horrible Experience. I went there with a friend...night started great until a random woman got into the bar stoled my purse right off my seat and walked out the back entrance...ended it being the worst experience.The bouncers and security guys did help me out in trying to find this woman, yet they didn't let me see the security video. Had to get the cops to come in and supposedly was told my a detective at the precinct that this happens allll the time there. Someone's laptop was stolen there once. So PLEASE watch your personal belongings when you go!

Best Bar Food Anywhere!. I have had nothing but great experiences at this bar. Its a sports bar, so there are like a million flat screen televisions everywhere playing every game worth watching. The bartenders and staff are super friendly and really fast with the service. Now for the food, it is by far, the best bar food I have ever had in my life. The burgers are made with perfection. Try the boneless wings!! Its not like other places that say boneless wings, but serve you chicken tenders covered in buffalo sauce, these are real boneless wings and they are to die for!! They have an amazing beer selection and every night they run something special to keep the patrons enjoying themselves. Definitely go in on Thursday night after nine and join in "Trivia Night" a great place to bring a group of friends or a date! The questions are tricky, but everyone joins in and has a great time! They run all kinds of bar crawls and beer tastings, so join the e-mail list and they'll keep you posted on upcoming events and even send you free happy hours! Its my favorite place to on any night.

Best Sports Bar in NY!.
This is one if the greatest sports bars in the city, if not THE best. Literally, you are surrounded by TVs and sports memorabilia and there's even a lounge to chill out in. They have TONS of beer so you will find what you want, guaranteed!
It's a great night out with my buddies, with a surprising amount of hot chicks who may or may not be into sports, but does it really matter?
The crowds are chill and food is good, and by the end of the night everyone is little bit closer

One of the best bars in NY!. great atmosphere and generally a fantastic place to hang out. if you just wanna hang out with the guys and grab a couple of beers, shoot some pool.. this place is it! I love this joint!

Great crowd, hot staff, tons of beer . . . whats better than that?!?. did the happy hour here last week, and am convinced it's the best in the east village area. cheap beers, tons of games always playing, and tons more girls than any other sports bar ive seen. try the spinach artichoke dip and the nachos. also, dont just order your normal beer. get something weird! i found my new fave last week (Porter, i think its finnish) and will be back next week to attempt to finish the keg lol
