“This place is so much fun!”
“It's your typical packed club, with "club skanks" decked out to their full skankyness, toppling around 3-4 inch heels, spilling their drinks everywhere.”
“They helped us get cleaned up and gave her a fresh cocktail to replace the one she?”
“Just to let eveyone who reads this review know the night was not a loss because after we were banished from the socialites purgatory ,we went right across the street to Buddha bar and had a great time the door staff was friendly ,the place was full but no”
“When you enter, you are welcomed with very professional service, informing the places and the prices of the tables.”
“If you like pretty people with no substance and over priced drinks, then Tenjune is your spot.”
“The music was excellent all night long.”
Dorrman Aalex needs a personality adjustment. I get into all the clubs, however this doorman Aalex (yup that is how he spells his name) is a reason not to waste your time there. What I don't understand is how an aging doorman (is that even a career?) can be so uncool. There are tons of hot places in the city where the outside service people are respectful. This is not one of them. Apparently he gets off by working the door. Now if he were CEO or had a truely high profile job then maybe his personalty could be understood. But to be paid hourly, have to stand all night outside, work the evening hours, and kiss up to those with money....welI guess I understand where he gets his manners from!
Hell yeah!!.
Went on a Friday and on a Saturday ... and it seem fair to say that tenjune is way above the average club in NYC. Friday night was really not what I expected from a night at Tenjune ( even on a Friday) : the crowd was not special at all, the DJ ( Suss.one) was playing good Top50 music ( hip hop, house mainly) but was not really taking any risk .. except from a few songs like "Like whoa "of Black Rob and some old school LL cool J.
Even if there was anything crazy I had a good night dancing and drinking...
The staff and the level of service is actually very impressive at Tenjune.. everybody is nice over there. Aalex is a very good doorman and I really don't understand all this coments saying that he is the worst a%%hole that the world has ever known. I mean the guy is doing his job and I think he treats people respectfully as long as you don't act stupid and try to argue for hours.. if u try to discuss too much of course he will be rude but .. seriously who wouldnt be with all these people ready to sell their mother to get in?
I decided to go back on a saturday and I am glad I did ! The crowd was definitely more what I expected from Tenjune and DJ M.O.S did his thing ( and I like it). Dancing was good, people were nice and happy.. it was really really a nice night! It was tougher to get in though.. but I went late
I really need to try week nights as I have the feeling that's when Tenjune really lives up for his reputation ..
wondering who are the DJs playing during the week by the way ...
The door "man", Alex is a horrible person!. Man, oh man... where do I begin. Alex, man.... I totally hope that you are reading this. You are such a poor excuse for a person. Do you think you're the bomb because you grew up to be a doorman? I'm saying, I don't know what kid says that when they grow up, they want to man doors for a living.. Couldn't get into that junior college to grab that associates, huh? Oh well, people like you who have self esteems the size of an ant have to become so mean to others so that they can feel better about their pathetic lives. I know all about it. Anyways, what I will say is... you definitely cost your facility a great deal of money on the night of 5/30 cuz me and my girls were going to buy up the bar! More than you'll ever be able to do on that doorman hourly rate. Later, loooooozer!
Lives up to its reputation. Its not often you feel like you got a ?deal? in New York, but after spending a night at Tenjune I definitely feel like I got more than what I paid for. The exclusivity was the draw for me and the people inside reflected the club?s repute. Service was great and my party didn?t want to leave until close. I would recommend this club for anyone looking to impress a group of friends.
Awesome DJ, Great Club. Tenjune was a huge step up from my average night out. My friends normally like the bar scene but we wanted a real night out for Memorial Day. Tenjune really knows how to throw down-- I appreciate good music and the DJ was AWESOME. 80?s, hip-hop, funk, whatever got the crowd going he was playing. If not for the scene, go for the music.
Rude door outside, Professional service inside. Snob door, they can be rude if you disturb them while talking with others but you have to say sorry if you want to enter and keep the harmony of your group. So stand there and wait them to talk to you. When you enter, you are welcomed with very professional service, informing the places and the prices of the tables. High priced bottles but good service, freshly squeezed watermelon juice served with vodka, good margaritas. I heard the music was also good but my experience with the music played that night was awful, I don?t like 80?s that much. So good luck, you will have your own experience of music with the same base (door and the service).
Good night out !!!. I have been to a lot of the best clubs in the city and Tenjune typically proves to be a big step up from the rest. I love layout of the club itself and the music is consistent, always lifting the crowd up and keeping the night going . The energy becomes palpable- and I say that in the least ridiculously sounding way if that?s possible. But you know what I mean. Tenjune is one of the few and far between spots where you begin to understand why people spend their money and what they?re actually paying for.
rude service. This club is ridiculous! A**holex knows that his uneducated self is never going to get into a position again with power so he takes advantage of the little bit of important position he is given. ...if you didn't work for the club you think they would let you in?? i think not! You collect your tips buddy because when the club is no longer happening and all those rich and educated people who pretended to like you or even respect you no longer give a a** about you.. you will be NOTHING ONCE lAGAIN! You have every right to be exclusive to your oh im sorry to the owners club i hope you understand their is a world beyond tenjune.
Fun Fun Fun. My girlfriends and I planned a girl?s night. We didn?t make a reservation anywhere so I was surprise when the doorman at Tenjune said he would be able to accommodate our group. Within minutes we were seated at a table across from the bar- close enough to the action if we wanted to dance but far enough that we could stick together and hang out. Our server was amazing- so sweet and attentive all night long- and the overall energy in the club was really great. Despite the fact we all had work the next day, we stayed until closing. I would definitely recommend going on a Thursday night for the best of both worlds.
Amazing service. I was at Tenjune the other night and contrary to what I?ve heard in some reports, this establishment was approachable, friendly and customer-satisfaction oriented. From the door men to the hosts (guys running around with headsets?) the staff at Tenjune really made us feel welcome. My girlfriend was bumped into and had a drink spill all down her dress. She dropped her drink as well and it was sort of a mess. The staff that assisted was great. They helped us get cleaned up and gave her a fresh cocktail to replace the one she?d lost. I?ve been to a lot of places in a lot of cities but consistently find Tenjune to be top notch all around.
